Applepaw licked him back, shuffling her paws awkwardly. "But I can handle myself." She added. "You don't need to protect me. I'm a warrior!"

He looked away as she licked him "not every warrior can handle everything by their self" he reminded her it was what his mom would tell him, his tail brushed the ground "you should get something to eat" he meows

Her fur bristled slightly. "Well this warrior can." She said sharply, standing up. "I'm not hungry. I'm going for a walk." She meowed over her shoulder before padding out into the forest.

He pawed the ground as he thought about following her or not why not.. he thought looking around before bounding after her

She slowly padded through the forest, looking around at the snow barren landscape. She walked for a moment longer before a crow cawed suddenly, spooking her. She jumped back with a hiss, looking around frantically. She sighed with relief as the crow flew away. She looked back when she heard snow crunching to see Softpaw.

he walked to her side touching her flank with the tip of his tail ''it was just a crow.'' he meows softly licking her ears

She jerked away. "I know it was." She snapped, her eyes narrowed. "Why were you following me?" She asked, her tail flicking.

He toke a few steps back "I wasn't going to let you leave alone" he growled with his ears flat to his head

Her fur bristled. "Why not?" She asked in a growl, her sharp tiny claws digging into the ground. "I told you, I can handle myself!"
