She laughed and raced after him, roughly clawing up the bark. She was a natural at climbing trees and easily passed him, getting to the top in no time. She stopped, panting slightly and looked down at him. "C'mon, slow slug!"

"Thanks but no. It's just I wish he was still there for me. I loved curling up with him sometimes and we would go on walks in the woods. He was so very kind and I just feel so broken and empty without him beside me." She looked over at Flame. "I think he would just get mad."

he dropped down from the tree looking up at her ''im not a tree person unlike you'' he purred flicking his ears panting

"I don't feel like he is. I wish I got to know Oakfang he seems like a really nice cat." She forgot if he was alive when she was but she had never gotten to talk to him if he had been. "I just wish Frostfeather were still with me. It just hurts because now I'm just like everyone else to him. Just a clanmate and nothing more. And it just hurts."

''at least your not the worst person living to him'' she meows closing her eyes and her tail brushed the ground

She sleekly leaped to another tree. "If I could be a different animal, I would be a bird." She meowed.

Frostfeather had padded up silently behind her. "I have more herbs for you to take." He meowed. He added mint leaves like he used to do when she had to take herbs for her eye, so they wouldnt taste as bad.

She looked up at him her expression blank. There was a flash in her eye. "Thank you." She murmured liaising up the herbs. She gazed up at his face for a moment before looking away feeling embarrassed.

"I'm sorry." He whispered, barely audible, before walking away, his tail flicking.

Applepaw leapt down, licking her paw and drawing it over her ear. "But then you would be eaten! I would be a humming bird. That way, I wouldn't be hunted because I wouldn't have enough meat." She meowed.
