Hawkwhispers nodded with agreement. "Yes, we will. We could bring an apprentice and another Warrior, if you think that's a big enough party?" He suggested.

Thornheart had padded up behind them, and was just about to say hello when he heard their conversation. "K-kits?" He stammered.

Crowwillow nuzzled her. "I thought you would've guessed."

Applepaw licked his cheek. "Youve been.. kinda different lately.." she meowed softly. "Are you mad at me?"

she flattened her ears to her head as if she could make the voices fade away ''i- think.'' she mumbled

he nodded flicking his tail ''applepaw'' he called

Applepaw titled her head and then looked at Goldheart. "Coming, Grandpa!" She called back. She glanced back at Softpaw and quickly licked his cheek. "I have to go." She meowed, and then bounded away. "Yes?" She asked.

Thornhearts eyes narrowed. Frostfeather was walking by with a piece of fresh kill, and Thornheart stopped him. "Can you... can you look at Echopaw for a moment?" He asked. Frostfeather nodded and stepped forward, simply sniffing her from head to tail tip and then stepping back. "She and her kits should be fine, Thornheart." He meowed, annoyed and padded away with the piece of fresh kill. Thorheart swallowed nervously and needed the ground. "Whose the father?" He finally asked.

Hawkwhispers smiled as the apprentice bounded over to him and Goldheart. Looking around, he looked for a warrior they could take with them and spotted Lunarstreak. He supposed she'd be a good choice, plus it'd be good to catch up with her. "How about Lunarstreak as well?" He asked.

she closed her eyes she wanted to know but she didnt she sighed ''i dont know.'' she whispered slowly blinking what would happen? would ash or thornheart raise the kits whoevers kits they were she didnt care maybe she would end up with the father of the kits in the end she rested her head on ash

''why dont you come and join me and hawkwhispers. we're going hunting'' he meowed flicking his tail he licked applepaws ears kindly he nodded to hawkwhispers his whiskers twitching

Applepaw smiled. "Ok!"

Thornhearts tail slapped against the ground. "Ill just.. go." He mumbled. He stood awkwardly for a moment before turning and padding away. How would he be able to watch the cat he loved raise kits with another Tom.

She wanted to go after him but she felt held down and curled up into ash closing her eyes everything was so different now.. She wondered who the father of the kits were maybe the kits would look like them though she didn't know what the toms looked like her head jerked up and she whimpered she wouldn't be able to see her own kits!

Thornheart turned back around. He took a deep breath before speaking, and when he did his voice broke as much as his heart. "Echopaw.. I can't just.. share you. I can't. I love you with all my heart, more then I love myself, but I just can't keep letting myself suffer like this. If the kits turn out to be mine, I will help out as much as I can. But with him around.." he meowed shaking his head slightly. "I just can't keep torturing myself. I'm ripping my heart to pieces watching you curl up with another tom." He took a breath to keep himself from wailing. "I love you so much, Echopaw. And ill always remember the good times we had as kits and apprentices. But your killing me." He meowed. "Your killing me." He repeated. After a moment he turned and simply padded off, without looking back. He couldn't hold back and let a single tear splash on the ground as he kept walking across camp. "No more. No more tears over her." He thought, before settling down in a shadowed corner, his dark pelt blending in enough to be invisible.
