- You looked out at the gentle river that glistened in the sunlight from the comfort of your twoleg nest, strategically placed right in front of the vast forest. The was the partition in the forest, overrun by various rabbits, deer, and, most of all, cats. They were everywhere in the forest. Adjusting your place on the broad windowsill, you heard pawsteps outside. It was another cat, but not a cat in the woods; a twoleg's cat. You knew the cat by name: Mittens. An unusual name for a cat, but a name nevertheless.
Mittens was a plump, active she-cat with bright orange fur, very different from your thin and slender build. A purple collar was fastened around her neck as she padded outside.
Mittens noticed you up in the window, her tail swinging steadily. Mittens beckoned for you to join her down on the ground. Luckily, the window was cracked open, but it would be a difficult path to get down two stories in the twoleg nest. Mittens watched in awe as you steadily slunk underneath the glass pane, scaled the side of the building, bounding off flowerpots, before landing upright next to Mittens, careful not to hit her. You were very agile for a house cat.
"Good morning!" Mittens chirped, purring gently.
"Hey, Mittens," you meowed, still intently staring at the forest. Mittens tried to follow your gaze, but you were too deep in thought.
"You're not thinking of going to the forest, are you? WIth those wild, unruly cats?" Mittens asked softly. You turned to the tabby, her eyes wide.
"They're not wild and unruly, they're... They're part of a clan," your whiskers pointed forward in a sly smile as you spoke. "I want to join them, Mittens. They're living freely." Mittens sighed reluctantly, shaking her head.
"I can't argue with you, but I wouldn't go. Who knows what they'd do to you? You could get killed out there."
"But I need to go. It... It's my destiny!" Before Mittens could turn back around, you had disappeared outside, bounding towards the forest.

"What are you doing here, so far from your twoleg nest?" A cat hisses, its eyes a piercing yellow. You cower below the tall cat, shivering in fear.
"I... I don't know," you answer frightened, but cleared your throat and spoke again, your chin held high. "I wanted an adventure." The tall wild cat laughed, batting your gently on the nose.
"Trying to be brave, huh?" the cat meowed, "Well you're in luck. This is just the right place for bravery. Besides, you have good instinct. There will be no trouble in letting you in." You blink in surprise.
"Really? Just like that?" You ask hesitantly, not sure if you could trust them.
"Well, you'll need to check in with Redstar, but with your characteristics? There's no debate," the cat flicked it's tail, turning around on its heels.
"Well? Are you coming?"
