Owltalon looked down at the young apprentice and thought for a second before saying "How about we do some battle training. I'm sure Streamfrost is setting up border patrols already, so we can do that another time. Well come one then." He turned towards the camp exit and made his way towards the training grounds.

Featherpaw sat down happily, the praise that the leader was giving her way beyond remarkable. Who ever thought that she would ever be out with the leader of the clan training. The little apprentice who messes up almost everything was actually doing something right. Her face brightened up with a smile as she said "Right! And if they ever pin me down then i need to be a quick thinker and scratch their belly to get them off!"

"That's right." Shiverstar chuckled. The apprentice was doing well. He was impressed. Through the training session, he kept thinking of the prophecy he'd received. Grey will blind the storm but red will destroy it. "Come attack me again, but in a different way." He instructed

Whisperpool- female. Tagged- Brownpaw, Streamfrost, Stormfall, Mosspaw

Whisperpool was torn. Her crush on Brownpaw had made Clan life difficult. To stop herself from crying, she bit her lip and watched the medicine cat apprentice disappear. Whisperpool's heart shattered. She painted on a fake smile as she joined Streamfrost and the rest of the patrol. "Hello Stormfall, Mosspaw," Whisperpool greeted them politely "how are you today?"

Streamfrost purred. "Okay group, we'll head out now," the fae called, "Mothberry, lead your patrol out when everyone has arrived." The fae flicked her tail, the signal for her patrol to leave. "We'll be hunting at the great oak," the silver deputy informed, padding through the dense forest, "You can pair up, go alone, or form a group- as long as there is prey and the apprentices don't get lost. Stay around the great oak, so that we don't leave anyone behind." Streamfrost began to silently watch the small roots of the oak after her talk. Soon, a small tail appeared, not furry but not entirely hairless either. Mouse, the fae thought to herself, silently stalking closer. She was a few mouselengths away now... "Gotcha!" she whispered satisfactorily as she pounced on the squirming rodent, ending it's life with a snap of the neck.

Whitepaw nodded. "Are we staying here, Owltalon?" The apprentice mewed, tilting his head slightly as his tail curved slightly in curiosity. "Or should we go to the training grounds?"

It's getting late," he meowed, turning to her again "and, Featherpaw, since I don't know where Silverfawn is, from now on, I will be your mentor." He said, touching noses with her as a mentor would do to their new apprentice. "Come then," Shiverstar meowed, lifting his head "this way." He flicked his tail and led her through the forest towards Rush Water, a river where there was usually lots of prey.

Whisperpool followed the deputy, senses alert. "Nice catch." She smiled as Streamfrost caught some prey. "Do you mind if I head this way on my own for a bit?" She asked, pointing her tail to where Rock Peak was lying quite far ahead. Whisperpool had found dozens on ravens and blackbirds there.

"Just make sure you're close enough to hear us," the fae mewed, tail swishing. She knew that there were lots of birds around that area, and catching those would feed a kit or two. Streamfrost gave her a nod to confirm she would go.

Whisperpool nodded and headed in the direction. She needed to clear her head as well, and think about the whole crush-on-Brownpaw thing, so the fae padded quite slowly, giving her more time to think.
