JJ's head turned quickly toward a bright light and he sped off, finding a espeon. The only thing that probably crossed his mind at the time was if Soot would take this one for testing. Coming back into reality, he held his ground, snarling. "Who are you? Why are you here?". Hopefully this wasn't just a new recruit that he hadn't met yet. That would be horrible.

Mist tilted her head and examined him he wasn't one of those town pokemon. "Mist, the thief Espeon, what is this place and who are you?"

So this wasn't a new recruit. But they WERE a thief, and although they seemed clueless, they might be here to steal something.. he couldn't let that happen, not under his watch! "None of your buisness, thief" he said, spitting out the last word. He stepped forward, challenging her to challenge him. He wasn't that great at fighting but maybe his demeanor was enough to fool this Espeon.

Mist sneered "oh you want to fight me? Trust me I'm not like other espeons or eevees, I have a move normally only a few can learn" she glared and stepped back a blue spear forming in front of her gem "Take this Aura Sphere!" The Aura Sphere launched at him, but missed and hit the wall. She snarled "shoot!"

JJ raised a brow at her statement. A move that only a few could learn? Now that would be something to catch! He trembled a little bit as she accepted her challenge. He wasn't expecting her to actually take it. He yelped, cowering as he tried to step to the side to avoid it. Wrong move. Turned out it had hit the wall, but because he had stepped to the side, he had gotten into the Aura Spheres path and it had grazed him. Trying to brush off his actions and make it seem like it hadn't affected him, he snarled, getting into a hunters-crouch before lunging sloppily off the ground, trying to tackle her to the ground. JJ was all about traditional moves. He sometimes even forget he had anything except his teeth, claws and sheer bulk.

Mist growled and kicked him off. " poochenas need to know their place!" She shouted and used Swift. It didn't do much, but it might startle him.

JJ was surprised as she kicked her off. He didn't know someone with a lanky figure as hers could do that. Her utter had given had distracted Mist. What did she mean by 'need to know their place'? He snarled, trying to stay upright as his legs buckled beneath him from the attack. Hastily forming a Crunch, he sent it towards her, barking.

Mist leaped back in pain dark was super effective anyways. She growled "Only a few pokemon can learn Aura Sphere... Eevees and the evelutions cannot learn it, but I have and I shall use it only for my will!" She shouted and this time hit JJ with Aura Sphere she knew it was super effective but the crunch still did a lot of damage,

JJ: He smirked as the Crunch was super effective 'till she got back up again. This Pokemon was resilient. Maybe it just came to you when you were a thief. He widened his eyes. When the Aura sphere had grazed him it had singed the tips of his fur. If the attack didn't miss this time, he knew what she could do. He braced himself, closing his eyes tight as he tried to dig his nails into the stone-hard floor, which wasn't much, considering the floor was concrete and he couldn't penetrate that. He yelped, sprawling onto his back as he felt it come into contact with him. He winced, the breath being sucked out of him as he hit the floor. He wiggled around on the floor, trying to get up, but it hurt. That aura sphere was super effective.

Mist panted she had flinched from the crunch but still manged to do an aura sphere, but now she couldn't move at all, and left her open for attacks. It took a lot of her energy to do that a trick she learned as a Theif.
