"1, 2, 3, 4," she counted, "5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10! Ready or not, here I come!" Fawnkit ran off to go find them.

Flamekit heard Fawnkit counting, right as she said, "Ready or not, here I come." He jumped in a bush, hoping it conceals him.

Hmm. Where could they be? She thought. She sensed movement, she turned her ears to face where the sound was coming from. Then she saw some movement in a bush, "Flamekit is that you?"

Fox-dung! He thought angrily. "Yes, it is," he mewed sighing, "You found me." His tail twitched in frustration. "Ha! I found you!" He heard Fawnkit shout excitedly. He walked to the freshkill pile, grabbing a sparrow. He wasn't going to help Fawnkit find Shortypaw, as she found him first.

Fallingsilver rolled onto her back. The day was boring and there was nothing to do out here in the forest. And it was so hot, no mice were running around to catch.
