"What?" He mewed scared. He looked around, ready to escape at anytime.

Fawnkit padded over to Firesong. "Hi," she mewed quietly.

The tom stood up from his position on the rock and jumped down. He made his way over to the fresh-kill pile, inspecting it.

The tortoiseshell pounced on a squirrel, killing it. She trotted back to camp with it in her jaws. She set it down on the fresh-kill pile, not taking anything for herself, before walking into a dark corner of the camp, near the river. She laid her chin on her paws and just sat there in silence.
