History: shadefeather was born to two warriors, vixenfoot and shadowpelt, along with her brother, whiteblaze, and her sister applekit. not long after the three's birth applekit caught a terrible case of green-cough, and due to the fact she was still weak from birth, she didn't last long. whiteblaze and shadefeather continued on through through their kithood and apprenticeship with nothing ever going wrong. a few days after they became warriors, a patrol came back with the mangled body of their parents, saying that their was a border skirmish, leaving her parents dead. shadefeather was broken-hearted, sometimes refusing to leave her nest until her brother comforted her out. it was moons before shadefeather finally accepted their death and moved on with her life. that was when she met storm. she'll admit that he was a bit violent, but she was convinced that he had a good heart. the two met at the border each night, not wanting to risk storm being found and possibly killed. after a couple moons of meeting with him, shadefeather decided that she wanted to leave the clan to be with him, storm didn't disagree. the next day shadefeather and storm found a den just beyond the territory and not long after that, shadefeather gave birth to their kits. about a moon later, after she had come back from hunting, and arrived at the den to see storm with his claws out, yelling at the kits as they cowered, pressed up against eachother. shadefeather was furious and without thinking, attacked her mate. storm easily won, and in his rage, murdered their three kits in front of her and left shadefeather by the border to die. shadefeather lay there limp nearly the entire day, not being able to move due to the pain. a patrol finally passed by near their location and heard her faint cries for help. they found her sprawled out on her side, her paw out-stretched towards the three limp bodies of her kits. after burying her kits, the patrol quickly carried her back to camp and gave her to the medicine cat. her brother, cloudblaze, quickly heard about the 'loner' found in the territory, and when he caught a glimpse of her, he knew at first sight who she was. it took moons and moons for her to completely heal, and moons and moons after that, she was announced deputy. to this day, she still hasn't seen storm again, and she can only pray that he won't come back.
