Echopaw got into a hunting crouch and stalked forward, scenting a mouse.

[Brim]

Palepaw soon caught the scent of a shrew. After quickly searching it out, she frowned at how small it was. *But it's something,* she thought, slowly stalking towards it. Quietly stalking forward, she let out a surprised yowl as a reddish-brown shape slammed it into the ground. "Palepaw?! Oh... Were you stalking this?" The cream tabby's eye twitched as she turned her gaze up to a blushing Honeywhisker.

[bork.]

Echopaw pounce smoothly onto the mouse, and before it squired away she bit it's neck.

[Brim]

Palepaw just let out a small growl before stalking off to find more prey as Honeywhisker slunk away. She sniffed the air once again, and her eye twitched as she smelled Echopaw and mouse blood. Heaving a sigh, she padded forwards a bit before sniffing again and caught the scent of a vole. She sought it out and was pleased to see it plump. She slowly stalked forward.

Echopaw quickly buried her prey then sniffed the air, Palepaw was close. So was vole. But there was also some rabbit mixed too... Echopaw started off towards the rabbit and got into a hunting crouch. After the rabbit came into eye-sight of her she pounce as the rabbit dashed off. Echopaw shook her head after she fell to the ground. She remembered what Spotteddstar had told her: "Hunting crouches never work with rabbits"

[Brim]

Palepaw let out a pleased hiss as her claw stabbed through the vole's back, effectively paralyzing it and then snapping it's neck. The cream tabby proudly buried it before searching out her next prey.

[bork.]

Echopaw stood up, and looked around. The same rabbit was hopping calmly several fox-lengths ahead of her.

[Brim]

Palepaw's ears perked at the scent of a crow. With a small grin, she slowly tracked it, but frowned as she realized that it was in a tree. *Well, even if I don't catch it, it'll be good practice...* Then the she-cat saw that the crow was watching her, but did not seem afraid. Palepaw felt a rush of indignity, slowly slunk out of the bird's sight. *I'll fix that.*

Echopaw watched the rabbit as it twitched it's whickers. That's when Echopaw ran after it. The rabbit, of course, gave chase. As Echopaw got closer she half pounced, half tumbled on top of it.

Palepaw slithered up a tree out of the crow's sight. She looked over at the next tree and lightly gulped. *Err... How did Magpietail do this?* she silently thought. She inched closer to the edge of the branch, and leaped on to the closest limb of the next tree. She clumsily landed and scrambled to grab hold of the branch before sliding of. As her claws stabbed the bark, the cream tabby let out a relieved sigh and straightened herself up. Quickly, she climbed to the other side of the tree, and slowly but surely made her way closer to the crow. Making sure to stay quiet, she slithered up higher than the bird to gain the height advantage. Letting out a silent breath, she climbed until she was just above her soon-to-be prey. That was when the crow noticed her movements. With a loud caw of alarm, it unveiled it's wings and flew up. Palepaw gritted her teeth. *No!* she thought reaching out with a paw and snagging the crow's wing. With another alarmed caw from the bird, and a sharp gasp from the apprentice, Palepaw found herself tumbling on to the crow's back, and smashing it into the ground. The dazed she-cat stared at the prey beneath her in shock, before that expression was replaced by a look of utter glee. "Haha, YES!" she yowled, impressed with herself. She picked it up with her head held high as she went to bury it with the shrew.
