Magpietail perked his ears at Spottedstar's command and stepped forward.

"Magpietail, you are ready to take on an apprentice. You have shown yourself to be strong and loyal."Spottedstar mewed, pausing for breath. "You will be the mentor of Flarepaw." Spottedstar looked down at Solarsky. "Solarsky, please step forward." Spottedstar commanded the calico she-cat who did as told. "Solarsky, you are also ready to take on an apprentice. You have shown yourself to be honorable and kind." Spottedstar looked over the other two apprentices. "You will be the mentor of Palepaw."

Flarepaw looked at Magpietail and waited for Spottedstar to say who would be the mentor of his other den-mate Echopaw.

Solarsky looked own at Palepaw, with a friendly smile on her face.

[Brim]

Magpietail smiled down at Flarepaw and leaned down to touch noses with his new apprentice.
Palepaw flashed her new mentor a rather pleased grin and stretched upwards to rich noses with her.

Spottedstar looked at Echopaw. "Honywhisker and I will be the mentors of Echopaw, it might be slightly easier for the Clan." Spottedstar slithered down the Raven-Rock

Flarepaw touched his new mentor's nose.

Solarsky reached down and touched Palepaw's nose

Honeywhisker smiled at Echopaw, though was confused by Spottedstar's decision. Deciding not to question it, he bent down to touch noses with her.
Palepaw lightly purred as she stepped back, and Magpietail did the same.

Ivyleaf watched the ceremony in silence. She often wondered if she would ever get an apprentice. Her clan mates have told her mentoring is hard work, but it pays off to see the apprentices turn into successful young warriors. She soon mentally scolded herself for having such selfish thoughts on an occasion meant to celebrate others. She cheered with the rest of her clan.

Amberblaze was a bit bored with the gathering to be honest. She would much rather be out of the camp, doing anything. The she-cat never understood why everybody made such a big fuss over the ceremonies. Congratulations, you are one moon closer to death! Whoop-dee-doo! Amberblaze didn't want the responsibility of an apprentice at all.

Spottedstar touched noses with Echopaw then looked at Honeywhisker."There's a time for everything, even new things like this." She whispered to the new deputy, and smile down at Echopaw, who was practically bounding around with excitement. Spottedstar smiled, though she's never seen Echopaw like this. She was usually a quiet cat.

Flarepaw looked at Magpietail and grinned, then darted over to Echopaw. "Wow, both the Clan leader and the deputy as your mentor!" He mused, smiling. "Pretty cool isn't it?" Echopaw mewed, an sat down.

IvyMoon blinked then nodded briskly to herself and padded over to the fresh kill pile. The she-at then picked up a large squirrel and tossed it to her sister.

DawnStrike yelped as the squirrel was flung at her, then slowly dipped her head and proceeded to eat it.

DuskPaw sighed and went back into the medicine clearing

Spottedstar smiled as the moon got brighter, and the night got darker.
