anger. confusion. batpaw wasn't sure what to do with himself anymore. eveningpaw came in- he knew she was hurt. but he was so tired. and before he knew it, she was gone again without goodbye. lifting his head, the ebony tom dragged himself to his paws. firefly was gone. and he wasn't coming back. the same probably went for eveningpaw. what did i do to deserve this? the apprentice shifted, before a soft sigh escaped his maw. i lost my temper. i said harsh things to eveningpaw... nightpaw- i managed to control myself more. but it doesn't matter. what do i even do from here? batpaw padded into the medicine cat den slowly, the pulsating pains in his torn pawpads continuing.
grabbing some cobwebs he pressed it to his pads. i don't deserve horsetail. save it for later... how am i supposed to do this? bearstar doesn't believe me half the time, nightpaw doesn't care- thunderpaw's up there with bearstar- and firefly ran off and left me here with only basic knowledge. eveningpaw... well she just hates herself... the rest of the clan doesn't know what to do... rogues are supposedly running rampant... how am i supposed to do this? why did everyone decide that their own happiness was more than the clan's? shifting slightly, he licked his maw, and fixed his slate eyes towards the entrance. i thought the same thing. that what's wrong with me. i wanted love. i'm selfish.... my clan comes first. that is the true test of a medicine cat- loving the clan without ever loving a certain someone too much. licking his forelegs, the tall tom remained silent in the den. scooting back into the cooler reaches, he continued thinking silently- it didn't even occur to him he hadn't said a word in almost a day.

cherrytail padded out of the warrior's den with a large yawn. the petite brown she cat didn't even know anything was wrong- she'd been napping most of the day, ever since the scare with creekpaw. spotting her apprentice, nightpaw, sitting there idly- which was much unlike her- the molly decided to head over. "hi nightpaw. what's the matter? you look like someone slipped thorns in your moss," cherrytail stated, glancing at her apprentice with turquoise and golden eyes.
