rosestar lifted her head from a short slumber. She had wanted to sleep off her rage; usually some extra sleep usually cheered her up.

She could see brackennose and the others playing with the kits. She smiled faintly; watching them from her den.

Seeing Rosestar from the corner of his eye, Brackennose turned around and waved her tail at her. "Morning!" he called out.

she smiled towards him, nodding a greeting. "Good morning, brackennose." She said quietly; looking at him with a warm smile.

I'll talk to her later, Brackennose thought. But for now, he was in the nursery, having a battle with RogueClan and SnakeClan. "NurseryClan is best!" he laughed, "Better than the rest!"

she frowned, and padded slowly towards the fresh kill pile, lashing her tail as she picked up a mouse and sat down to eat it. She stared at them playing; suddenly worried. She looked anxiously around camp; feeling slightly threatened. "Why...?" She asked herself quietly; standing up. Her hackles raised; strange as her eyes didn't sense danger; yet every part of her body seemed prepared to be attacked.

Specklepaw sat by herself; a small, sick grin plastered across her face. She looked towards rosestar; without a problem. She stared at the food; then at the nursery.

"I'll be right back," Brackennose said suddenly. "I need to tell Rosestar that-" He broke off, remembering the kit was in front of him. "...That I can take a patrol out later on."
He padded towards his leader, dipping his head respectfully. "Rosestar, do you have time right now? I need to talk to you.."

"Hold on, brackennose. Something's not right." She whispered.
"Please; take the kits into a den; I don't want anything to happen before their eyes. I can speak to you in a moment." She said softly, sounding rather wary.

"Oh..?" he asked, confused, but he went into the Nursery. "Game over," he announced. "There's something 'not right'. Brightkit, Featherwing, Rippleheart, stay in here. Look after each other."
