Eternity looked away, not sure what to say, she lay her head on her paws.

"And what will the pups think of me when they find out what I've done?" asked Matthew. "I just shot someone infront of thier eyes. Thats three of the four things that you suggested I should hang on for thrown away."

Eternity stayed still, the sick feeling getting worse, she whined softly to herself, there was nothing she could say to make him feel better.

"But at least the strongest one is still there." said Matthew.

She looked him in the eye, then nuzzled him "I love you, I'll never stop loving you"

"I love you too." said Matthew, lickeing Eternitys cheek. "I just can't believe....that I did that...."

"I know it's hard" she said simply, rubbing her cheek softly against his.

"Yeah." said Matthew, putting his head on his paws. He let a couple of tears drop to the ground.

Eternity lay her head by his, seeing him like this made several tears stream down her cheeks, mixing with his and the ground, she closed her eyes, and listen to the currets of the river again.
