Oakpaw moaned as his sisters, Creampaw, Poppypaw, and Mousepaw all shook him," Oakpaw, Oakpaw! Wake up you lazy rabbit! It's already mid-sunrise!" Poppypaw giggled. She was the runt, but always cheerful, and made sure she was never forgotten about. Oakpaw opened his good eye to see Mousepaw crouching in front of his face, batting at his whiskers which made him itch his nose. He moaned again as Creampaw pounced on his stomach," Why couldn't I have been born with a brother!" He groaned, shoving his sisters away from him," Alright, I'm up, I'm up! But just remember this moment the next time I try to get you three up!" he teased. She got up, and shook his fur, blinking his one eye, the other one lost when he was thrown out of a monster with his sisters in a cardboard box. He got up and looked around. He gasped," Mid-sunrise? Oh no!" He ran away from his three giggling sisters to go find Oakfur.
Moonpelt licked Nightkit clean, who groaned," Mom, can I go play now?" Moonpelt stepped back, examining Nightkit," Alright then, go play! But dont bother the warriors!" Nightkit squealed, and dipped her head, running off," Sparksong, Sparksong!" Moonpelt's whiskers quivered with amusement as she padded over to the fresh kill pile. Her little kit would be an apprentice in just a moon! She watched Nightkit jump onto Sparksong's back, and couldn't help but laugh as she nibbled on a vole, sighing.
Skysong padded into camp with a hummingbird, dipping her head to Lilacstar on her way out. She was proud of her kill, hummingbirds were fast! Flickerheart came over, settling down next to her," Hi! Nice catch!" He looked around. Flickerheart had always been like a brother to her, they were in the nursery together and he had kind of taken her under his wing after her family died in a fire," Hi Flickerheart, thanks! Want it?" Flickerheart shrugged, taking it and chew it on it," Hummingbirds are fast, how did you get it?" Skysong shrugged," It's wing was broken, I felt bad for killing it..." Flickerheart shrugged," Don't be, now it can go to little birdy starclan!" They both laughed, and Flickerheart dipped his head, padding away, see ya!" Skysong flicked her tail and finished the half eaten bird.
Saptail sat in her den, and groaned," Where are apprentices when you need them?" SHe felt ticks everywhere and her back was stif and it felt uncomfortable to sit down. She got up, stretching her back, and padded t the medicine cat den as she did every day, to complain about apprentices. " Smokefur? Dawnpaw?" she croaked, limping in on her stiff leg. Where were those two lazy bums? Back in her day when she was a medicine cat, she was always up and alert for the elders! Nowadays they were so slow!
