She started struggling but the barbed brambles scratched her making her cry out more.

She followed Duskstar right in her heels as they neared the wailing. "It's coming from those brambles, it sounds like a kit in pain."

Duskstar ran up to the kit, pushing the brambles to the side. She stuck her head in and pulled the kit out, and set her down gentle on the ground, "We should take her back to the camp, Crowpaw and Antpaw, will you find Hailstorm and tell him what happened? You all can hunt together. I'll go back to the camp."

"Of course Duskstar," she meowed dipping her head in respect. Crowpaw then turned to Antpaw, "let's go," she meowed then took off.

The small kit looked up at Duskstar, fear laced her eyes.

"I'm going to take you to our Medicine cat," she said, looking at the kit. "Is that alright?"

She nodded shakily.

Duskstar picked the kit up by the scruff and walked to the medicine cat's den. She set the kit down, "Willowstep?" she called.

She blinked at the new surroundings. (Is it ok if she's mute?)
