"Jadepaw is now the only one with a strong connection with Starclan, you and Graypelt can only help her when it comes to herbs. Graypelt gave up the Medicine cat right a long time ago." Silverstar told the tom. "Jadepaw needs help though, we can't have a half-trained medicine cat."

Amandine followed Mathias quickly, not sure what she would find when they reached the base. She started to recognize the area from long ago. She halted suddenly. No... a voice inside her head said. What if they still blame you for the white cat's death? She thought. They should be over that by now, after all, death is just part of life. she reminded herself. And if I have to fight again, I will.

"You do? Well I uh.... Love you." He muttered with a small smile. The Russian then gave her a purr before pulling her close.

"I'm very loyal to StarClan! When have I ever betrayed the clan?! Also I've been studying herbs since I was three or four moons old. My mother was a former medicine cat of another clan and she wanted my brother and I to learn this stuff so we can be successful. If Graypelt gave up her title then why is she getting it half back? Isn't it you're in or you're out?" Tinyfang argued back.

Mathias noticed Amandine stopped and yelled at her, "What you waiting for? Come on Amandine they won't hate you! You killed their enemy and they were just shocked you did it so soon." He called out answering her in thoight question. It was just the first thing that came to his mind why she would be so hesitant. They wouldn't hate her and if they did, he would protect her.

"I'm not saying you are disloyal. I know you are a very loyal warrior." Silverstar told the tom. "I just don't know if you have a close relationship with Starclan." She said.

Amandine started running again and stayed close to Mathias. Would they even be at camp? There was a fire, have they moved back? she wondered.

"And I love you too my little sunflower." Bearfire purred again. To him his pain was gone and now filled with joy. Despite his gash was bleeding only a few small drizzled paths, he didn't feel any pain.

"My mother was a medicine cat very close with StarClan. She may of betrayed her clan but that doesn't mean I am not very loyal. If I didn't want to be a clan cat then I probably wouldn't of even listened to my mothers lessons and stories about StarClan." He snapped back once more. Remembering how sweet his mother was and now gone always made him get emotional. She did this for her because he knew she would want him to be a clan cat for the best.

Mathias reached the strip of land and leaped through a bush smiling when he saw his alliance. He didn't see the Icelandic cat so he assumed that Tinyfang had gone back. The other males noticed Mathias pad on in and stood up to greet the Dane. The Danish male looked back hoping Amandine kept up with him.

Amandine stayed behind the bushes. His alliance, I forgot.. she thought as she crouched down. He said he'd protect me.. But I don't think they would want me here.

Silverstar studied the tom. "Is this all about position, or something else?" She questioned. "I have a feeling the medicine cat position is not the only thing that is important to you." She said. "Anyways. One major reason I cannot give the role to either of you is you both took a mate." She said calmly.

The Russian Maine Coon then started to groom the she cat up. He kept his chest above the ground so it wouldn't infect his wound.

"Mate? I don't even see the she cat anymore and she had a illness once she had her kits! She's probably dead or close to it and by now she probably doesn't care about me! May as well actually start what I want huh? Don't be sneaky here Silverstar, right now it seems as if you don't want me to take the rank." He would keep arguing until he could train Jadepaw more then Graypelt could. This was his desired rank and he would try to get it even if it killed him.

Mathias scented Amandine and signaled with his tail to come on out. He told the males to wait for a sending and padded to where the female was hiding at. "What's the hold up? They don't bite."

"Tinyfang, I already offered the rank to Graypelt. Unless you can convince her to give up the temporary rank, you will have to share it with her until Jadepaw is ready to be medicine cat." Silverstar told the tom.

"But I do." Amandine said. "I attacked a couple of your alliances before." She said. "Or at least one of them. For being a clan cat." She said. "Don't you remember? You told me to back off."

"Then why didn't you offer it to me when I joined the clan? You could of asked me if I knew about herbs or something despite there were already medicine cats." He was done wih this talk. Damn this she cat for being so stubborn. It's like she doesn't care abut him and all of a sudden this rouge and her mate show up and bam, the she cat gets the rank.

"It doesn't matter. Just come on they won't hurt you." Mathias whispered. "Please, for me?"
