It is now years after the movie took place. No humans have been seen for years, and they have even managed to raise a beautiful foal, whom they named Capella. But now, things have changed. A new herd has moved into the area Spirit and his herd normally stays. The lead stallion of the other herd has even tried to steal away mares for Spirit's herd(thankfully only succeeding in getting two so far). Spirit and Rain have never had to deal with this before. Will the new herd make more problems for Spirit's? Will they humans ever return?

Physical Description: Capella is a beautiful blonde mare with blue eyes.

Personality: Capella is shown to be a stubborn but shy forse. She is normally very kind-hearted. She tends to be highly insecure about her appearance and does not realize her natural beauty. This makes her nervous around any stallion but her father. She also also very submissive. Capella considers herself a "misfit" among the other mares in the herd, preferring to keep to herself most of the time.
History: Rain had Capella not too long after she and Spirit reunited with the herd. Capella used to be a very friendly and outgoing foal, and often played with the other foals with no problems. That is, until she was attacked by a mountain lion, and would have been killed if Spirit had not been there. After that she started to stick to her mother like glue, and refused to socialize with other foals anymore. As she grew older, she slowly drifted back to the other members of the herd, but has never fully went back to normal, due to being traumatized.

Physical Description: Rain is a very beautiful pinto mare with a slender-built body and a rather curvy posterior, Her coat is a very beautiful reddish brown with white socks and stockings. Her eyes are a very beautiful shade of crystal blue and her mane and tail are cream. Her hooves are light brown. She also had an eagle feather in her mane.

Personality: Rain is a kind-hearted, loveable, yet very cautious mare who, despite her fun sense of humor, knows when to be serious. And is also a very dedicated and devoted mare to both Little Creek and Spirit.
History: Rain was raised by Little Creek of the Lakota Tribe and is very attached an dedicated to him because of this, as is very evident throughout the entire film. She first meets Spirit when he and Little Creek escape from being held captive at a U.S Cavalry settlement. The next day, in order for Little Creek to earn his trust, he ties them both together with rope and has Rain to show him a thing or two of how to behave, as well as their world. during this time, she shows little interest in Spirit at first but as Spirit starts to show his true colors and his feelings towards her, she quickly warms up to him and even comes to love him in return. Spirit and Rain are separated when the U.S Cavalry attack the Lakota Tribe and Rain is severly injured by a gun shot wound to the shoulder brought on by the

colonel . Spirit lays with her all night until he is hauled away to become a draught horse by Cavalry Officers. Little Creek sees Spirit being hauled away and runs over to Rain to try and comfort her before she completely and inevitably passes out. He quickly puts together that Spirit not only saved his life but Rain's as well, so he sets out to find and save Spirit in return and ends up returning the favor. The two then find their way home, narrowly escaping death when Cavalry Officers hunt them down. Upon returning to the Lakota Tribe, Spirit, believing Rain is truly dead, is ecstatic to find she is alive and well with Rain being ecstatic as well. Little Creek realizes Spirit would and should never be without her and decides to let Spirit and Rain go. Rain is very reluctant and sad to leave at first but Little Creek insists saying, "you will always be in my heart." And so after Little Creek says his goodbye to Spirit, she leaves with Spirit and returns to her mate's homeland to live out their days with his herd and his mother. Rain, as a result of being mate of Spirit, eventually becomes Lead Mare of Spirit's herd, and they both live happily ever after.
