Shadowwing walked through the forest,his mind on other things than the scenery around him.He had been out of Dreamclan territory for a while now.Normally cats didn't wander in the thick underbrush behind the camp,but Shadowwing wasn't a normal cat.The black and white tom moved through the dense foliage like water.He wasn't as well muscled as his siblings.He was slick and slim,yet strength coursed through his pelt.From appearance he didn't look as strong as his litter mates,but he was definetly the most cunning.He walked some more until he came to a grassy area.High walls of rock surrounded it on each side,towering above the grassy plain like mountains.A river flowed over a side of the steep rock wall,creating a huge waterfall.It then continued into the forest and the rest of it was hidden by corse trees and bushes.The grassy meadow was large and full of prey.It was protected from the fierce wind and driving rain,so it was an ideal spot for cats and prey liked it as well.Shadowwing made his way through the tall grasses,towards the thundering waterfall.He reached the river and padded along beside it.Here the tall grasses drew back,making a narrow passage way for the river.Small clumps of bullrushes lined the river's edge and small frogs lept from the water and onto the land.On the other side of the river prey scent was thick,indicating that they used it to drink.But Shadowwing wasn't interested in any of this.He kept padding towards the waterfall,stopping short,as he noticed a she cat sunning herself on a flat rock in the middle of the river.Several smaller flat stones led from the large flat rock to the bank.The gold she cat looked up,her green orbs spakling as she laid them on his black and white pelt.She got up and gracefully lept off the rock and onto the smaller stones.Her pelt shone as the sun's rays hit it.Shadowwing picked up his pace.He met her as she jumped of the last small stone.He rubbed her cheek as she landed beside him. "Dawnsight,you couldn't be more beautiful."he mewed into her ear fur.The golden she cat closed her eyes for a heartbeat and then spoke."Come with me" she said in her soft sweet voice,"They are waiting."She turned and ran for the waterfall with Shadowwing behind her.Her white paws flashed as she stretched her legs to their full extent.Shadowwing ran right beside her,easily keeping pace with his long legs.They flew across the grass and stopped at the far wall of the basin.The air thundered with the mighty noise of the water flowing down from the rock wall.Dawnsight led Shadowwing behind the waterfall,as it cascaded down and then joined the rest of the river.
