Cinderpaw followed his mentor out of the camp, feeling a rush of excitement as he was finally able to see what his clan’s territory really was like. Just a few steps out of camp, and the territory was already unfamiliar to him.

Dawnpaw looked over at Tinyfoot with a grateful expression. “Yeah, that seems like a good idea.” Dawnpool agreed as she followed the black she-cat over to the fresh kill pile. “Was it really obvious that I was uncomfortable?” She then asked after several moments of silence.

Mistfall caught up with the now tangled and surely in pain Juniperpaw. She wanted to keep running and make sure that the loner had left the territory, but it wouldn’t be possible now, especially with Juniperpaw’s situation. Now concentrating all of her focus on the stuck apprentice, Mistfall winced. She could see the thorns were digging deeply into her fur. “Juniperpaw, calm down. The more you struggle, the more the thorns hurt you. You need to stop moving.” She ordered the young she-cat, her advice gentle and soothing.

Tigerstorm leapt from the tree and continued her stroll through the woods,pausing every now and then to sniff the air around her.The breeze sent smells of prey but most were stale,so she continued deeper into the foliage.

Windbreeze stopped,sniffing the air for any scent of his sister.It seemed she had set off for the thicker part of the forest.He knew he couldn't follow her in there,somehow Tigerstorm was able to get in some of the smallest spaces he had ever seen,this was very helpful when traveling through thick foliage,a skill he had never learned.Never the matter,maybe he could catch up with Shadowwing,by sniffing the air he could tell that his brother was travelling fast and had no desire to meet up with anyone.Sighing,Windbreeze set off on his own.Windbreeze perked up his ears,in the distance he could hear yelling,"Rouge?"he thought.He quickly set off for the noise.His body stretched out,his belly nearly touching the ground as he ran.Branches hit his pelt,as he ran,his long legs extended.He nearly collided with Greyflick,stopping just in time to save them both from an untimely accident,"What's wrong?"he asked the old she-cat.

I slowly sad myself down in the corner of the nursery. I closed my eyes happily, almost six months old. I never had a real interest in battling, but it's not like I can just walk up to our clan leader and say that. I spat at myself in my head. I shook it off. I yawned and stretched out, then retracted into a ball.I liked the comfort of the cool wall on my back fur. I didn't sleep but I simply just lay there. I kept thinking about my mom, and how the badger's claw raked her face brutally then he---
I cut myself off. I wasn't going to focus on the past now. I am focusing on the future and the present. I scolded myself mentally, but secretly the image of my dying mother still rests in the back of my head. I simply stood up and walked out of the nursery, just right outside it and sat, letting my fur gently ruffle on the soft breeze. I purred slightly, which was rare for me. Really rare. I stopped almost instantly. My eyes fell upon the sky, just gazing. I felt another purr but I stifled it, shoving it down my throat. The talk among the cats soothed me, as I am usually not one for disturbances

The black tom returned to camp, wondering about why Aspenpetal was upset. Maybe she was hurt? She seemed afraid. What was there to be afraid of? Sootfur looked around the camp. Cats? Rocks? Grass? Cats... Cats! Maybe she was afraid of one of her clanmates. But why? Did she have an argument with someone? Sootfur sighed, this was to complicated to be figuring out right now. He shrugged his shoulders and pushed the topic to the back of his mind. He wondered if he should return to the forest, but then he remembered that Aspenpetal would be there, and still looked ready to claw his pelt. He decided to go to the medicine cat den, and see if anyone needed help. "Hello? Ashencloud?" He called, wondering if the she-cat was in her den or not.

For all those smarts you have," He winced as his brother hit him in the head with his tail. "You sure can be a mousebrain sometimes. Give him some time. For now, how about you join splashpaw and I for some training. We're going to see the borders." Fallenpaws ears picked up at splashpaws name. "Yeah. ok." Turning to the forest he said, "I'm not done with this conversation! I'll see you later tigerpaw!"
