- fern - leader - no one tagged ; - fern's tabby brown pelt was rising and falling slowly, her eyes drifting open slowly. her blue eyes scanning her empty den. sitting up she shook the feathers and bracken out of her fur. now that the big stuff were out of her pelt, her pelt was stuck up in weird places she smoothed it down with her pink tongue. when she exited her den, the ferns that were drawn to keep the warmth in the den when it was colder than usual, it tickled her back making her spine tingle. sitting outside her den and watching the pink sky with bright eyes, she always loved this time of day, right at the crack of dawn when the sun was just rising.

- icicle - hunter - no one tagged ; - icicle was one of the cats who woke up early, not tired at all. but today, his eyes were drowsy and he felt like a brick load was on his shoulders today. giving his pelt a shake, he sighed and leaned against a tree, his eyes boring into the clearing in front of him, his shoulders slumped.

- comet - guard/fighter - no one tagged ; - comets gaze was fixed on the entrance, his breathing was steady and his short gray pelt were blending in with the rock behind him. sighing, he hated guarding the camp since nothing had attempted to come in, but something inside of him knew that this moon would be a tough one.

[ plover - female - hunter ]
the small, pale grey she-cat awoke, aching slightly. shivering slightly, she stretched her weary, cold bones before raising to her paws and shaking out her coat. the warmth of her brother had seemed to have faded overnight—he most likely had gone outside to take the moonhigh shift. peeking her head outside of the den, she yawned before retreating back inside in search of a warm pelt to fall back asleep next to.

he tensed his shoulders in an attempt to keep himself awake. he had struggled to fall asleep last night while his sister tossed and turned, taking advantage of his warmth before finally slipping into a deep slumber. but then, just as he had begun dreaming, comet had shaken him awake to come guard for the rest of the night. it was dreary, but it was mandatory.

The white-and-gray tom was sleeping in a nest of moss with herbs scattered across the soft earth. He slowly opened his jade green eyes as the pale sunlight glimmered across the walls, warming his messy pelt. He slowly got to his paws and groomed it down, so it looked nice and slightly sleek. He gave a good stretch before organizing the fallen herbs like he did almost every morning, putting each one in its correct pile. Once Nova was finished, he padded out of his den to greet the morning colors of the sky, a small smile on his muzzle. "Today seems like good weather, as long as we don't start smelling rain on the wind..." He murmured to himself, curling his tail around his paws as he sat down at the den-entrance.

Lilac

The patterned she-cat was planning to sleep in a little longer, but thanks to instinct she woke up at the brink of sunrise. She rubbed her left eye with a paw, yawning as she tried to get herself back to her dreams. She was having a pleasant one about catching and bringing back enough prey to last generations upon generations of cats from the pack of the northern mountain, in which she was honored and awarded with special privileges and great praise. She wanted the dream to never end, but sadly she had to wake up to her normal life, being treated like just another trainee. With a short sigh, Lilac got to her paws and exited the den, looking to see the sun rise over the peaks of the landscape.

Eclipse twitched his tail as he slept, dreaming of climbing a never-ending mountain. He could feel his paws gripping onto the grooves indented into the inclined rock. He shifted his burnt yellow gaze to above him, the bright sun glaring. He screwed his eyes as he looked up, still heaving himself along the rough surface. Eclipse could feel the stiff rock grazing his paws, giving him the feeling of slipping. Out of nowhere, an eagle leaped off the cliff and went plummeting down straight towards Eclipse. The eagle's relentless evil glowed in the beady black eyes. The eagle's misshapen snout was about a whisker-length away when Eclipse woke up.

Panting hard and vigorously, his eyes opened. He felt heat burning at his limbs, and his heart beating an irregular beat. He flattened his ears as he took a deep breath, closing his dark yellow eyes. He sighed in relief and pulled himself to his paws. Just a dream... he thought, light rays of dawn's sun shining onto his face. Just a dream. He padded out of his nest, stretching out his hind legs and spine as he walked. He left the den, his paws thumping hard and unsteadily against the ground. He looked over his shoulder to see his trainee, Lilac, leaving a den. He trotted over to her, wanting to speak with his trainee about the training they were going to be doing today. "Good morning, Lilac," he greeted, flicking blinking his eyes. "How are you, this morning?"

Lavender had been guarding the territory around the camp all night, and the activity had really taken a toll on her. She blinked her light silver eyes in fatigue as she continued pulling herself around the territory, seeming to look at the same things over... and over... and over... She yawned, her legs burning and walking at an unsteady pace from patrolling the area, only taking a few breaks to rest. She was relieved, even grateful, that the light of dawn was beginning to peak over the mountains. Finally. My patrolling duty will be over soon, she thought, stopping by a rotten log to rest her sore legs.

Lilac perked her ears as the sound of her mentor's voice became known. She turned her head to find the tabby tom padding towards her, to which she waved her tail with slight excitement. "I'm bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, sir." She mewed. "How about you, did you rest well? I had an amazing dream, I had brought prey back for a bunch of cats and I was thanked greatly for it. Did you have a dream?" The ragdoll-bred she-cat asked, her fur warming up with the help of the milky sun as it made its way up into the sky, its brilliance shining down upon her and the rest of the pack.

Eclipse chuckled halfheartedly, burnt yellow eyes seeming to be recovering from fatigue. "That's great, Lilac," he replied monotonically. "I can't say the same for me." He swiped a paw over his face and began grooming along his face-fur that lined the structure of his cheeks. "I wanted to come speak with you about training," he began, his gaze becoming more serious. "I know you're still a trainee, but I need to need to know exactly what position you aspire to have when you're older." Earlier in his life, he had trained as a hunter. After becoming deputy, he took on a role that was very varied. His current role wasn't something a trainee could train to get to, but they could definitely want to become one once they were either a hunter or fighter. She had a dream about hunting. Maybe she wants to become a hunter? he thought, his white tabby and black pelt shining in the dull dawn sun.

The she-cat flattened her ears slightly, trying to make a decision. Hunting is something I've wanted to do, my parents were hunters, but fighting and guarding just seems so fun! I can't decide, what would you recommend?" She asked, whiskers twitching with slight confusion. Sure, it'd probably make her parents proud by watching her become a hunter, wherever they were, but fighting and guarding seemed so much more fun and awesome than the average stereotype of her taking after her mother and father. She had the perfect build for either one, which made it extra hard. She had a good amount of muscle and strength, good for taking down enemies. She had a lithe body-type too, making it easy for her to run around and catch prey without having to worry about missing her kill, since she could run fast. She sighed, flattening her ears even lower as the thoughts swirled in her mind. Why couldn't she just be both? That would be much easier.

Snow - She sat guarding. She yawned still guarding. '' Bored.. '' She whispered tiredly.


Badger - He went out of camp to hunt. Brought back a nice plump rabbit to eat. He put it down in a pile of prey others had caught and then he went to sleep.

just as the she-cat had begun to turn tail and reenter the den, she glimpsed over her shoulder at the sound of her name being called from across camp. "oh, hello, icicle," she meowed in response, giving a brief dip of her head. "i'm a little chilly, but perhaps that's just me. how are you?"
