Reboot: Ravenclan

Fawnpelt followed, nodding to Ashensky in greeting. She kept her steps quiet and stayed alert for prey.

Ashensky nodded, and dutifully followed the rather large hunting party, forgetting, for a moment, all about his brother. He thought he'd seen him head out with Shadowjump and Mousefoot, but he couldn't remember. Now was time for one of the things he did best and one of the things he most enjoyed: hunting!
With his good sense of smell and smaller physique, naturally, Ashensky was the first to scent and catch a morsel for Ravenclan. Silently upon smelling a pigeon, the dark gray tomcat broke apart from his group and streaked after it, moving quickly with his body pressed to the ground and tail lowered. With a low, triumphant growl, the tom flung himself from the cover of a bramble bush upon eyeing his target, made the killing bite to the bird before it could alert other prey, and trotted back to the rest of the hunting party, his catch in his jaws.

Moongaze was suddenly snapped from his daze at Mousefoot's request. Hastily, the light gray tabby turned away from the bee he'd been observing and meowed, "Of course, Mousefoot. I'm a pretty decent fighter," the tom added, keeping his tone modest, "and I'd love to show Snowpaw some moves."

"Good catch, Ashensky." Glacialstar nodded to him, flicking her tail, her gaze flitting around. she heard skitterings under a bush, and turned to see it, but it disappeared into it's hole as she leaped for it. She hissed as she landed on the leaves, slipping and floundering a little, somehow managing to do it silently. "Even leaders miss sometimes..." she grumbled, getting to her paws.

Mousefoot smiled. "Wonderful, thanks." he purred, swishing his tail. "I'm not the best fighter, but Snowpaw does deseve to learn, and learn properly."

"Why, thank you, Glacialstar!" Ashensky purred brightly around the pigeon. He then trotted over to a towering pine tree, and dropped his peon to the side as he started to dig a hole for his prize and his many more catches to come. Placing the pigeon inside and covering it up with dirt and leaf mulch for later, Ashensky set off in another direction, on the prowl for more food for Ravenclan.

"No problem," Moongaze murmured politely as they continued to pad along.

Her green eyes flicked over to a departing Ashensky who quickly returned with a gray bird in his maw, as well as the quick-footed Glacialstar leaping after something. It was obvious to her as soon as she leaped that she would miss it but the tortioseshell didn't think about it too much. Laurelnose departed from the group quietly when she scented a mouse, and began to stalk it. When she saw it it was clearly scrawny and underfed, but it'd feed someone, and she managed to catch it in between two multi-patterned paws and ended its life quickly, rejoining the group soon after she had caught it. "Well, that's two prey so far."
