She grins at Snailpaw, preparing for the apprentice to leap. "Don't forget that timing is key here." she states.

Wolfclaw

He curls his tail around his paws as he sat next to Rabbitstep, waiting patiently for an answer.

Sandstep walked up to then and said " u rabbit step is asleep!"

Snailpaw went over the moves she'd learned. But she always mixed this one with the badger attack. But luckily, she'd just performed that one! She released her mentor's leg and slithered around her, eyes searching for the best location to spring at. Once she found it, her pupils dilated with concentration and she crouched, her muscles bunching together and trembling with excitement. Okay... Now! She pounced, leaping onto Greyfur's back. Her paws began to slip, since she hadn't unsheathed her claws, and she quickly did so, trying not to claw her mentor too much. She staggered, trying to maintain her balance, and she gripped onto Greyfur's scruff lightly, slipping in her smooth fur. Then all at once, she leaped off her mentor and landed somewhat ungracefully on the ground, her claws latching into the earth.

Her eyes gleamed with pride. "Very good Snailpaw! Clever tactics you used. Do you wish to continue or go back to camp?" She asks with a small smile. She learns well. That's good. she thinks as she gazes at her apprentice.

Her heart swelled with pride and satisfaction and she beamed up at Greyfur.
"thank you!" She looked down at her paws as she considered what to say next. Then it occurred to her. "Could you refrresh my mind on how to catch a bird properly?" Any bird she caught was grossly mangled afterwards.

She thought up a quick lesson before meowing, "Birds: They can be hunted in short bursts of stalking to get close. If you aren't close enough, during the final leap the bird could fly away easily. Even if you stalk them close enough, be ready for a leap to hook your kill. So I suggest you stalk up to the bird and try to claw at it's wing if it tries to fly away." She states with a twitch of her ears as she looked at the mangled bird in Snailpaw's jaws.

She thought it over, tailtip twitching. Instead of aiming for its belly, she should target the wings. She looked down at her mangled bird from earlier and nodded.
"That makes sense. Thank you!" She picked up her bird and got to her paws, ready to head back to camp.
