she gave a rusty purr. I am the same age as you! some medicine cats waits until fifty moons old to choose an apprentice. okay, lets go. She meowed, knowing that some medicine cats do wait until fifty moons. she padded out of the medicine cat den, she put her tail on his shoulder for a second then removed it. she waited for batclaw outside of the medicine cats den.

Batclaw blinked his milky turquoise eyes, flickering his ears idly. "A fact," he said simply, before actually hesitating. The tail on the shoulder was contact; something he was used to, but at the same time, not. That small smile remaining on his maw, the petite ebony tom followed her. "Yet, hopefully, I won't have to wait that long; perhaps I'll get lucky, and get one an apprentice by thirty moons." His soft voice was a bit wistful. "It's better to start early; it's easier for myself. Might as well get the hardest part out of the way before my bones grow creaky and stiff." I am quite lucky to have her presence; she is perhaps one of the only ones that I can hold a decent conversation with.

she nodded. yeah, that is true. okay, why don't you lead the way and I will follow you? she asked. she knew that batclaw was blind but she treated him like a normal cat, knowing that if she was treated like she was broken and was babied she would hate it. she liked batclaw, he was a good friend. and since she was deputy they would often hang out together and when she became leader she and batclaw would have a better bond since they would have to discuss about the clan.

Alaska made her way through the territory. She felt her heart rise in her chest. She loved this place already! It was so amazing! She wished she could live here...no. The clan would not accept her. Especially if they knew her father was one of their past warriors. Her mom said her father broke clan law for her. While Alaska found it romantic, she could not help but feel ashamed that her own father would never call her his daughter in front of his clan. She shook her head. She had to stay focused! Take in as much of the territory as possible! Before she got caught, she HAD to see as much as she could. She might never be able to come back again.

Batclaw inwardly felt a little pang of surprise, something that rarely occurred. She wants me to lead? But that pang of surprise turned into a very tiny, strange feeling of joy. She really was making an effort to treat him like a regular cat. Surprising, but he definitely appreciate. "Sure," the medicine cat mewed simply, as if this was an everyday occurrence; yet his tone still light and a bit more... lively than usual. Padding ahead, his nose began to twitch. The petite tom relied on scent more than sound when gathering herbs. After a peaceful minutes, he began to smell quite a few things, one of which bothered him. He stopped dead. "We have an intruder somewhere close."

he watched as the deputy and medicine cat left camp. his gaze calm as he turned his head towards camp once more. his cuts were numb now, meaning they were fine. he stretched his long body against some warm rocks and closed his eyes. he put his head down and let our a sigh.

the molly slid into the river in camp. her legs lazyily pushing her small frame forward. her whiskers twitching as she kept her head above water.

she stopped tasting the air. she suddanly smelled a tang of kittypet. she leaned closer to the medicine cat. okay, stay calm. I will handle this. though if you want to help you can, she is just a kitty pet. the molly meowed quietly to the tom. she walked up, startling her. she stood in front of alaska, towerin over her. what are you doing in reefclan? she snarled. her fur bristled as she breathed in the kitty pet's face. her eyes lit up with anger as she gave a warning growl.

she watched as batclaw and hawkfeather padded out of camp. she wanted to talk to batclaw but she didn't bother now. she looked to shadechaser and padded over to him. err...hey shadechaser. she meowed, than realized he was going to sleep. her pelt went hot with embarrassment.

"hmm?..." he opened his amber eyes, realizing she was embarrassed he laid up right, instead of on his side. she must have thought he was going to sleep. "Hello juniperheart. How have you been?" he asked her politely. his nose twitching slightly.

Batclaw nodded. Regardless of his blindness, he was a medicine cat. They didn't fight. "I will only intervene if necessary," the tom mewed back quietly. But instead of hiding, he padded after Hawkfeather; a good show of numbers would do the trick. Locking his milky gaze on where he knew the she-cat was standing, he straightened his gait, but didn't hiss or show any aggression.

she felt hot with embarrassment as she realized that medicine cats don't fight but she ignored it. she asked the kittypet again, why was she here? she waited for her to answer. she let a warning, low growl.
