she nodded, padding on. when she got to the river she waited for the fish to slither by.

she took another bite of the mouse. she longed to tell batclaw her feelings and for him to say that he loved her too. she also wanted to have him be a warrior and for them to have kittens. but she knew that all of her wishes couldn't be granted. she sighed quietly, taking another bite.

Batclaw hesitated at hearing her dejected sigh. He wanted to ask what was wrong, but at the same time, it was none of his business to pry. Feeling slightly awkward, as he usually did when interacting with other cats, the lean ebony tom straightened and then stretched. "Ready?" he mewed, pretending to not notice, although it was quite hard. He was sure his milky turquoise eyes were 'twitching' in that odd way that they did when he was trying to hard to hide his emotions. It bothered him because he actually trusted Juniperheart; if she was hiding something, perhaps he'd messed up somewhere.

she nodded. yeah. sorry, but falconfoot confessed that he loved me, and I don't love him back, and he's my friend so it's been weird... she meowed, padding along with batclaw. the molly enjoyed his company.

He growled to himself, angrily lashing his tail back and forth. He was in the forest, probably right near the entrance of camp, and he was slashing claw marks down a tree. He snarled words under this breath as he took his anger out on the tree.

Grousepaw

He looked up and smiled as Cinderpaw padded towards him, and asked if he could share "Sure! Here" He meowed, nudging it towards her as he licked his whiskers.

Alaska padded into the camp shyly. She was still so unsure about this whole thing. What if she let them down? What if she said something to anger them? What if they started to dislike her even more? Thoughts flashed through the young she cat's head.
