picsThe last day had passed quickly. Ezra had taken his new friend, Noodles, outside for a walk. He had heard loud noises nearby, and later stopped to spectate an epic battle between two other trainers. They were so in the dedicated to the battle they did not seem to notice him.
It was morning now. Noodles was already awake, calmly waiting for his trainer on the edge of the bed. When Ezra woke, Noodles made a soft croaking sound, “Frooooa”. He patted the pokemon on his head, and quickly dressed himself.
A while later he stood outside, ready to leave on his trip to the fields. If he wanted to be a good trainer, he had to learn how to battle with Noodles. Maybe he would even find a new pokemon?
The fields were wide and open. Such is was not difficult to find an opponent. Looking for a not too difficult opponent that did not immediately ran away, Ezra found a small bird pokemon. “Spearow: Eats bugs in grassy areas. It has to flap its short wings at high speed to stay airborne”, the pokedex stated. This must have been its territory, as it immediately attacked. Just before it reached my head Noodles shot out bubbles to scare it off. “Thanks buddy” He looked up at his partner, Noodles sat calmly. “Frooaa”
The spearow returned. “Use bubble again!”, Ezra shouted. Noodles jumped up and shot out another beam of bubbels. They only hit the bird’s tail, but just enough to make it lose its balance. “Now hit it with tackle, before it takes off again!” Noodles did not respond, and the bird fled. I looked back at Noodles. It had fallen over by the tackle of another pokemon. Two against one, on my first fight? Ezra thought. The brown, fluffy, pokemon gave the froakie a slap with its ears. “Noodles, hit it back with tackle!" The two pokemon moved back and forth as Ezra shouted commands. Noodles looked tired, he had to make one last shot. “Hit it with another bubble!” Noodles let out a full burst, but sat down wearily afterwards. Ezra took his chance and threw a pokeball at the pokemon before it could recover. It was shaking for a long time before the light went out. Noodles jumped to the pokeball and gave it to its trainer. “You did well”, Ezra said. “We should head back to rest”. “Frooooa”, sounded the reply. Ezra opened the pokedex. “Buneary: You can tell how it feels by the way it rolls its ears. When it's scared, both ears are rolled up.”
