Hourhaze stood crouched, aiming for the mouse ahead of her. The mouse did a good job of concealing himself in the bushes, but due to Hourhaze's keen eye and sensitive ears, she was able to spot the mouse before the mouse saw her. Running toward the mouse ruthlessly would trigger its escape plan, so Hourhaze kept herself well hidden in the tall grasses. She waited patiently for the mouse to come closer. She lunged at the mouse, claws unsheathed, biting into its back. She held the mouse down forcibly, and dug her claws into the mouse's neck, ending its life there. Hourhaze thanked Starclan before heading for a squirrel she heard while killing the mouse.

{Time for the baby to meet Hourhaze I hope you don't mind that I'm making him go after the squirrel too, and then having them collide! XD}

Ruffledmane mewed a quick reply to Sweettail and one last thank you before he bounded out of the camp and into the woods. He wasn't sure if he'd catch anything, nor did he have any desire to, all he really wished to do now was stretch his long legs, breathe in the crisp forest air and run. Run until he could run no more!
With a bittersweet sigh, Ruffledmane charged through the woods, surprisingly elegant despite his muscular physique and long coat. the main coon had never thought he could escape from Twolegplace and the harshness of the cats he formerly lived with... but, here he was, happy and free and more enthusiastic than ever. But surely enough, Ruffledmane's limbs began to grow heavy, and he hadn't realized how far and fast he'd traveled, judging by the burning in his legs.
Slowing down, he decided to circle back to camp, but he didn't want to come back empty pawed, so he slipped into a hunting crouch and began to stalk through the forest, all the while sniffing the air rapidly for food. Sadly, the smoky gray and black tomcat remembered that the clan must be fed first, not himself. He guessed he'd been so used to feeding himself and no one else while he lived in Twolegplace that it become a habit. Upon scenting a squirrel, he shook his head before going after it, drawing closer to his prey, getting nearer. A good warrior knows to put his clan mates first, Ruffledmane thought as he lunged for the gray squirrel with a triumphant yowl.
But before he could lock onto his target and kill it, he saw a flash of golden-brown, tabby-spotted fur streak forward out of the corner of his eye. Ruffledmane's excited yowl quickly turned to that of astonishment as he collided with the she-cat.

Smoketail took his seat next to Swiftlark and waited patiently.

Silverclaw walked over to the gathering, looking for Ruffledmane to see if she could get a seat by him. she did not see that he was around, so she sat at the edge of the group instead.

She was about to drop when she heard the large tom and saw the golden she-cat below her, you could hear her claws scrabbling in the tree limb as to not fall on the two below her. she carefully climbed down and looked at them.

"looks like we all wanted that lump of fur." she said with a warm smile.
