She smelled a rat right away, and tracked the scent. It was behind the dumpster and she peeked back there, and hissed. The rat whirled around and fluffed up, snarling, afraid the cat was there to take it's bounty. The rodent dashed towards her, and she easily raked her claws across its side and pinning it down. She snapped it's neck and laughed to herself.
Silly alley rats, they think they're bigger then what they are!Leaf
Leaf lived on the outskirts of two-leg place, and was very happy with his den. He lived in a metallic cylinder that many twolegs seemed to throw things in, but his was overturned and had a hole rotted in the bottom of it. The lid was on the top, but was peeled back a little so that he could enter there. The hole in the back was more near the wall of the twoleg building behind him, but if need be he could escape from there. He had gathered many newspapers and other plushy things that twolegs threw out to make a nest.
He stepped out of his den this morning and scented the air. He could usually find mice that have come from the nearby forest, but today he smelled a squirrel. He grinned and shook out his long fur, ready to track it down.
