She starts doing the same to him, and when they most likely look all fluffed up, she starts to limp back. Her whole body was sore from the cold water, and she knew Oakpaw was all willing to carry her, but she didn't want to be a burden on him.

Rowanfall lay in the nursery, casually. The she-cat couldn't do any warrior duties with her belly so swollen. She closed her eyes and released a weak, depressed sigh, thinking about Firestorm. Things could be so much better if he was here. I can't move on. The queen thought. Rowanfall closed her eyes and tried to get sleep.

Rowanfall fell asleep, but dreamed about Firestorm. She missed her mate too much. Rowanfall released a small wail. The wail wasn't loud, but it could still be in the earshot of a cat. The queen dreamed of Firestorm and her laying side-by-side on the top of a beautiful, grassy hill on a sunny day. Everything sparkled. But in the real world, there was no sparkle without him. Rowanfall continued to slumber.
