Cloudbelly snorted in disbelief. "Perhaps," he said. "But, be honest -- who would be scared of Cloudbelly? It makes me sound like I eat everything," he pointed out with a chuckle. He had to admit, however, that the title did, in fact, roll off the tongue. It didn't sound wrong like a lot of warrior names happened to.
But it would never be able to strike fear into an enemy warrior's heart, not like the name Badgerclaw.

badgerclaw laughed at his statement. well, his pelt is quite fluffy, she thought with a smile. "at least you share!" she said cheerfully. her ears flicked and she tilted her head a bit. "but who cares if other cats aren't scared? you might have to work a bit harder to prove yourself, but after you defeat all those mean cats, they'll have to run home and say they were hurt by a deputy called 'cloudbelly'. what matters is that they will be scared."

Cloudbelly tilted his head, feeling thoughtful as he pondered over her words. He supposed that was true -- they would have to run home to their Clanmates, shamefaced and with their tail tucked between their legs. He snorted laughter at the thought, then sat up, shaking his pelt out. He finished the last bites of the squirrel, then glanced at the camp entrance, his ears pricked. "Want to go hunting with me?"

she smiled at cloudbelly's question. "i would love to!" she said cheerfully, swishing her tail as she rose to her paws. she shook the dirt from her fur and glanced in the direction of the warriors' den. the snoring continued, and she only hoped someone would wake the tom up before he caused more frustration. she was glad for any reason to get away from the noise, though, and didn't want to be around anyone else who had been woken up by that. plus, the pile of freshkill was looking a little low, and she wouldn't mind spending some more time with cloudbelly. perhaps the morning wouldn't turn out so bad after all. she headed toward the entrance of camp, flicking her ears around to hear if anyone else had gotten up.
