Lightningstar

Lightningstar looked at the sky and saw the sun starting to set. She looked around camp and sighed to herself. "I guess this is as good as time as any." She said to herself softly. Lightningstar leaped onto high rock and curled her tail around her paws. "All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather together here under high rock!" She yowled so every one in camp was able to hear her.

"Hmm, sounds more complicated. But, it's not like I've tried so I don't know," she meowed. Lightningstar called a Clan meeting and she looked up from grooming Wildfern. "Looks like we'll know who the deputy will be." She got up and moved a bit closer to the Highrock and sat down again.

"Oh w-" She was cut off, hearing LightningStars yowl."Well, see you around." WildFern purred to the medicine cat before padding off to the high rock.

WindTail
He lifted his head from eating prey. The tom gave a stretch to his paws before joining the rest of the cats to the meeting.

Seapaw

Seapaw trotted over to his mentor and sat next to her. "Has Lightningstar picked a deputy?" he whispered.

Mountainfrost

Mountainfrost, who had been near the Highrock anyways, sat down and pricked her ears up to listen better.

See more cats come and decided to go ahead and start. "As many of you know the patrol I was leading found a old fox scent. I deiced we should go ahead and meet it in battle and scent Stormbreeze back to go get some help. Before he came back with Mountainfrost the fox came and attacked me. Thanks to Stormbreeze and Mountainfrost we won the fight and fox ran. I don't think we well have any more problems with it, but I still want you all to be aware when you are out." She stayed quiet for a little while seeing if anyone had anything to say before moving on.

Frostfur

He padded towards highrock and sat down curling his tail around his paws. He glanced around camp seeing who all was there. He wondered who Lightningstar would pick as deputy. Once Lightningstar started speaking he looked up at her and listened carefully.

He fidgeted a little bit, and, being only an apprentice, was intensely bored, even though he knew he wasn't supposed to be. This is boring! When will she get to the part where she announces the deputy?

"Not yet," she whispered back to Seapaw. Lightningstar continued her announcement and she twitched her whiskers in amusement at Seapaw's fidgeting.

Seeing ho no one really had anything to say she blinked once before speaking. "Now I am going to announce the new deputy. I have thought long and hard about who it should. I say these words before Starclan, so that the spirits of our warrior ancestors may hear and approve of my choice. The new deputy of Lightningclan is Wildfern!"

The small tom laughed. "Well, why do I want to stay? I could be free," he huffed boldly, giving her a squinted eye glare. Duskykit sat and flicked his tail with his head held high. With wide eyes he looked at Lightningstar as she declared the deputy. "Wildfern? Wah... Why not me!" He muttered, a disapproving look on his face.
