"Then what were you going to do?" Fallstorm snapped, raising his voice. "Leave it here and not eat it? Leave it here to rot so we can't feed our clan?"

Thistlefang drew himself to his full height, "You're trespassing either way." He snarled, "And killing prey on a clans territory is something we cannot allow."

Brownie's ear pinned to her head, a shiver going down her back. Dang it Jen. why must you always dare me into these things? The kittypet thought.

Fallstorm sat down to make himself look taller. Though he spoke to the kittypet, his blind gaze was not looking at her. It didn't make any difference to him whether he looked at her or not. "Why are you here. All cats no what trespassing will cost them."

"Or have kittypets grown careless?" Thistlefang mocked her. His deep voice was laced with strict mutiny.

"My friend dared me to venture into the forest, so I did." Brownie meowed, her grin disappeared.

A growl rumbled in Thistlefang's throat. "So do kittypet's think it's fun to die?" He snarled.

Fallstorm looked at the ground as he spoke. "You should think before you decide to listen to your friends. Has your friend ever been in this forest? Does she know the dangers?"

"No.."Brownie replied, her ears still pinned to her skull.

Thistlefang rolled his eyes, "Kittypets don't have any brain, these days." He growled.

Fallstorm lifted his gaze and looked out above the she-cat's head. "Why are you really here?"

Brownie lowered her head, slightly. "To explore." She meowed. Oh god, I'm in so much trouble. And this other one over here is getting on my nerves.. The kittypet thought.

Thistlefang growled, "Exploring isn't something that you can do in the forest." He told her, "This is our home, and we have to keep it safe from intruders."

"Whether or not they mean any harm," Fallstorm growled quietly.

Brownie replied nothing back, fear prickling her pelt and skull.
