Sparrow whimpered softly. She had barely managed to drag herself out of the snow drift. How was she supposed to get back to Night Pack. She turned, glancing up the cliff. Her pack was most likely south, why had her mother visited her and told her to go north? She shook the question away, she needed to follow her instinct, and her dead mother's words. Slowly, but surely, she limped forward, going north. Her tail and paws dragged in the snow, and she could barely put her right front leg down and put weight on it, but she kept going, her brown swirled fur being buffeted by snowy blasts of wind.
Sage groaned again, kicking out with her hind legs to make sure she could still move.
Viper paced her den, the rocky crevice overlooking her entire Shadow-walker clan.
