Lichenheart purred warmly as Poppypaw rubbed against her. "Yes. Perhaps if you aren't too tired later we can go for some battle training?" she suggested to her apprentice. She noticed Fallensky heading for the camp entrance and padded to follow him, beckoning her apprentice with her tail. "Where are we patrolling first?" she asked when she caught up with the deputy. Her ears flicked as the mist from the waterfall at the entrance hit her fur, spraying it lightly with a dewdrop-like pattern.

"I was thinking of heading towards the southern border, we haven't been there in awhile." Fallensky paused to shake droplets of mist from his coat; he wasn't a big fan of water. Moving onward, he halted just outside the falls to wait for the rest of the patrol to catch up. His tail-tip flicked on the damp stones as his steady blue gaze traveled over their home.

Padding out into the main cave, Moonsong gazed around for her apprentice. Today's lesson that she'd planned was all about keeping safe from predators. The silver she-cat made her way towards the fresh-kill pile with her tail waving high. She chose a small lizard and settled at the edge of the cave to eat.

Bronzeleaf trotted over to his apprentice, a mouse clamped in his jaws. Waving his tail in greeting, he sat down in front of the young she-cat and placed his fresh-kill onto the floor of the cave. "Morning, Fallowpaw." The tom said, watching the border patrol head out. "I was thinking we could do some battle training today, sound alright?" His head swiveled to her, "And maybe you could see if some other apprentices could join us."

Rabbitfur followed quietly behind Fallensky, his ears swiveled back towards camp as if expecting another cat to join them.
"The light drizzle of rain could lure frogs out," he muttered quietly. But he was uncertain if anyone had a taste for frog. He knew he definitely didn't. He shook his head free of droplets, fighting back the urge to sneeze. Water had to find itself in the most inconvienient of places.

Fallowpaw looked up at her mentor, surprised the tom hadn't joined the patrol.
"Oh, hello Bronzeleaf." She looked at the mouse he had, then at the water vole she'd had before her head snapped upright to face her mentor again. "That sounds fun! I'll go check the apprentices den." She picked up her vole and carried it across to the apprentice den, poking her head inside. "Hell- Oh, good morning Sweetpaw. Would you like to join me in some battle move training?" She poised her paw somewhat clumsily.

Hawkstar retreated back to her position in the dead-center of camp, now that Fallensky had a patrol organized. Her job now was to set up a hunting party, which she would regrettably not be a part of. She made a promise to herself to keep Fallensky in camp the next day so that she could get out and about again, quickly growing restless at being cooped up inside the caverns for so long. She sat and calmly contemplated her party. She decided that her brother would lead it, and was ready to inform him as such when he finally appeared from the warrior's den.

Falconwing looked around at all of the sleeping cats, before finally his eyes settled on the form of one of the younger warriors named Dacetail. Carefully, he approached her nest, and seated himself, simply waiting until she awoke, at which point he began to speak, in the even and professional tone he was so well-renowned for. "Good morning, Dacetail. I was wondering if you wanted to take our apprentices hunting today. I know that Pebblepaw has been sick, and I should think it good for him to be training with an elder apprentice."

Crowstream hesitated for a brief moment, before picking the vole up in his mouth and carrying it to the fresh-kill pile, placing it gently back for someone else to eat. Then, stretching his legs, he bounded after the others to catch up with the patrol, falling into step at the back of the group. The water didn't bother him, and fell off his pelt in a rippling motion, making the pronounced and smooth movements of his body far more obvious. He flicked his ears a little as he took in the outside world. Green-leaf was nice in the mountains, and he appreciated the deputy dragging himself out of his woe to appreciate it. Then, the fact that Silverleaf had loved green-leaf hit him, and his gut dropped, his tail drooping a little as his ears flattened against his head. Quickly, because he didn't want anyone else to see, he perked them again, trying to seem alert.

Kestrelpaw finished with his food, and stood, stretching himself out with a yawn. Feeling more energetic and awake, he slowly padded back to the warrior's den to find his mentor. He sat down in the entrance and called to her; "Darkfeather? I think I'm ready to go now. I've had something to eat." He added the last part as an assurance, because he knew that if he didn't eat and the she-cat found out, he would most certainly get a cuff around the ears for not taking care of himself. The last thing he wanted was to be set back even further in his training. He would have to work tremendously hard.

Poppypaw purred as a response to that, tail raising in excitement. "Sounds great!" she mewed, as she bounced after her mentor, obviously excited. She tried to avoid the water from the waterfall as she exited the cave, but as soon as they were in the clear, her ears pricked and she trotted onward with her tail raised high, listening quietly to the conversation between her mentor and the deputy. It was really her first border patrol- she usually went on hunting patrols, being one of the younger apprentices. She was enthusiastic though, but she stuck to her mentor's side like glue, unwilling to leave the she-cat's side and put herself in danger.

Darkfeather
Giving her pelt a shake, the dark tabby trotted out and stopped by Kestrelpaw's side. " Come along, then. " She said, flicking his leg with her tail as she bounded forward, out of the main cave and into the warm air outside.

The grey and white tom lay curled in a ball in his nest, snoring gently. The tom's body twitched every now and then, showing his exciting dream.

"That sounds like a good idea," she said with a nod at the idea of patrolling the southern border. "Perhaps we should work our way up to the eastern border from there? We never know if kittypets are stealing our prey, and it'd be good to make sure they stay in check," Lichenheart added as a suggestion.

"Perfect." Fallensky got to his paws as the others caught up. He flicked his tail and padded off towards the border. His mouth parted to drink in the air, tasting for any scents of predators or intruders. His pelt prickled at the scent of fox, but it was stale and heading out of the territory; he made a mental note to be aware of it later.

Bromzeleaf nodded and brought his mouse closer to him, he flicked his ears and began to eat his prey. When he was finished, he stretched out on the stone and began to groom his golden fur. His gaze traveled around the camp, waiting to see if he was needed anywhere.

The young she-cat blinked her eyes open as another cat called her name. "Wha? Oh." She sat up in her nest, half of the fur on her face smushed from sleeping. "I'd love to go!" She mewed while licking a paw and fixing her fur. "Do ya know when?" Sweetpaw blinked and hopped out of her nest, her eyes bright.

Lichenheart scented the fox as well, but noted it was leaving the territory. "That would be the last thing we need," she said softly. "Alright, Poppypaw, tell me what you can smell." She decided to quiz her apprentice while she could, the fox was a perfect start.

Crowstream padded along quietly behind the rest of the patrol, simply seeming lost in thought. He had no attachments to these other cats, and therefore he did not feel obliged to make conversation. His pelt prickled at the scent of fox, though unlike the other warriors, he did not relax. It was entirely possible that the fox might change its mind if it got scent of them. Flicking his ears, he continued on patiently, though he seemed to be on higher alert now that he had sensed a potential threat in their territory, even if the scent was stale and indicated the fox was moving away.

Kestrelpaw felt a little surge of pride when his mentor's tail brushed him, grateful for the friendly gesture, before he stretched himself out and leaped after her, heart soaring at the prospect of being active again. He managed to get out into the open air without being splashed with too much water, shaking out his pelt as he trotted calmly after his mentor. Matching her stride for stride- everyone had to admit, for the tiny kit he had been, Kestrelpaw had grown fast- he asked her; "What's first on our agenda? Are we going hunting?" He mewed. He missed going on patrol, but Darkfeather had made her feelings about him comparing himself to other apprentices clear. Not that that would stop him.

Poppypaw's ears pricked as Lichenheart addressed her. Inhaling sharply, she scented the air, body alert as she took in the scents of her territory. "Fox!" she squealed, proud of herself for having noticed this scent. Then, she quickly grew embarrassed as she realized that her shout could have been taken as a warning, and hurriedly added; "But it's old! It's not here... right now... it was moving away from the territory, so it's probably not here anymore." She tried to stand up a little straighter, to regain some of her lost dignity.
