Heart pounding in his chest, he didn't know if it was because of hunting, or the fact Swiftpaw was touching him. Probably a mixture of both he concluded. Clearing his thoughts, he put his tail above the ground as instructed. He was pretty sure all he had to do was pounce. He felt like a lopsided badger, actually, a lopsided badger probably had more weight control. He squared his shoulders and jumped! He landed short, he had misjudged his pounce. He had time, he thought. Getting up he sprang into chase. Paws thrusting across the ground he caught up to it. He grasped the small creature in his claws and slashed its neck. Not the neatest, but it would do. Picking it up in his mouth he padded happily over to Swiftpaw. Mouth full of fur he mumbled something like "I gough ih!" Hearing himself he thought bitterly that he sounded like that bird-brained kittypet. Dropping the vole he quickly changed his sentence and said "Wow! I caught it.. thanks to you." He confirmed he had a small crush- no he really liked Swiftpaw. It was against the rules but.. He did.
