Bramblekit peeked out of the nursery, today he would go from kit to paw. He looked at his sister and then padded outside. Silverkit shadowed her brother, her yellow eyes dark with worry. She slunk behind him jumping at every noise as if expecting it to be some enemy warrior or something. Bramblekit pranced around looking proud then he turned and started grooming himself and his sister.

Tawnyfoot bounded forward her pelt shinning in the light she was eager to go hunting.

Shadepelt sat in the shade licking his pelt with slow and deliberate strokes, his amber eyes scanned the camp.

Ambertail saw a mouse nibbling on a seed and instantly got into position. Moving forwards, she lept and caught it with her claws hurried to bite its neck. Burying her kill she set off to find more prey.

Shadepaw waited his eyes gleaming he was scary yes, his eyes where creepy and most kits stayed away from him.

Tawnyfoot slipped through the undergrowth and soon caught sent of a vole. she crept forward and then waited as the vole came along. she lunged forward snapping its neck in her powerful paws, she purred with satisfaction and lifted the vole moving to burry it.

"Would all cats old enough to catch there own prey gather below high ledge for a clan meeting!" Featherstar yowled across the clearing. Grasspelt frowned. "I guess more hunting will have to wait." he called to Ambertail.

Claypaw bounded over to the kill pile, dropping in his catch in. "Hey look Echopaw! Its the 2 new 'paws!" he mewed, pointing to Silverkit and Bramblekit.

"Okay" called Ambertail padding up to sit beside him.

Nightpaw heard his leader's call right when he was padding into camp from his hunting expatiation. Dropping his squirrel, vole, and mouse on the pile he hurried over to the apprentice's spot.

"I guess so too," Ravensong agreed. She turned and padded back into the camp, and sat in front of her leader eagerly.

Ashpaw curiously walked back to where his leader had spoken. New apprentices.

Rosekit padded outside the nursery to see her denmates go. Oh, how she longed for that day.

Poor Silverkit nearly had a heart-attack leaping behind her brother cowering fear wafting from her. Bramblekit paused mid lick and straightened proud, he lead the way to the high ledge and Silverpaw followed him sinking so low that her belly fur brushed the ground. It was understandable after seeing their mother and father killer right in front of them. Silverkit looked back at Rosekit her eyes wide with fear.

Shadepelt padded forward and he sat down at the edge knowing nobody would sit next to him.

Tawnyfoot bounded back dropping her vole off and sat next to Ashpaw feeling bad for the apprentice.

Featherstar wrapped her tail around her paws and looked at the 2 kits. "Silverkit and Bramblekit, you have both reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day, until you receive your warrior names, you will be known as Silverpaw and Bramblepaw. I ask StarClan to watch over you and guide you both until you find in your paws the strength and courage of a warrior. " She turned to the clan. "And now, your mentors. Tawnyfoot, you are ready to take on an apprentice. You are an excellent hunter, and a huge help to your clan. You will be the mentor of Silverpaw, and I expect you to pass on all you know to her. And Stormpool, you too, are ready to take on an apprentice. You have served your clan well as a magnificent fighter. You will be the mentor of Bramblepaw, and I expect you to pass on all you know to him."

Ambertail called out "Bramblepaw!!! , Silverpaw!!!".

Grasspelt joined her, as did Claypaw, and the rest of the clan.
