Echopaw saw Claypaw charge after a squirrel he startled and took Nightwhispers advice. So she silently followed him through the forest. She came to a clearing near a brook and saw a dead squirrel and a sopping wet Claypaw. She padded up to him. "Did you decide to go for a swim?" She purred and licked his ear.

Nightwhisper decided no prey will get caught if no one's hunting so he padded out in to the forest.

(Silverstep and Spottedpaw are herb collecting, Claypaw and Echopaw are hunting together, and Nightwhisper is near by, hunting too. Grasspelt is taking Nightpaw hunting, and he wants to ask Ambertail to come along (<3), since her apprentice is with Echopaw.)

Claypaw purred with laugher. "I guess I was a bit dirty..." he admitted. His eyes brightened suddenly. "But I still got the squirrel!"

"Yes you did, that you managed!" Echopaw purred, "Do you need help warming up?". At that same moment a mouse ran and stopped in the clearing. Echopaw instinctivly dropped into a hunter's crouch. She palced one foot in front of the other and pounce on the mouse. It slipped away but she got her other paw on it, and swiftly bit it's neck. Then she padded back to where Claypaw stood.

Nightwhisper saw a crow, well actually heard a crow. He sniffed the air and pinpointed where it was. In the tree directly above him. Without thinking he slowly climbed up the tree and reached the branch, which the crow sat. He had only a heartbeat before it would know he was there, and he jumped at it. Almost losing his balance he managed to kill it and drug down the tree. He padded off towards camp with the crow in his mouth.

Amberleaf licked her chest nervously and said "I would love to".

Nightpaw quickly asked Grasspelt if he could hunt alone too.

Grasspelt nodded to Nightpaw. "Sure." Turning back to Ambertail, he mewed. "Great! Let's go!"

Claypaw groaned. "You're such a great hunter. And I'm horrible. But we got some food! Let's go bring it back!" he decided. "Oh, and sure, I'd like some warming up, please!"

Featherstar was walking through the forest. She saw Nightwhisper. "Nice catch." she mewed when she saw the crow.

Silverstep padded along the river banks. "Smell any cat-mint, Spottedpaw?"

"Oh Thanks," Echopaw said licking her chest in embaressment. She grabbed her mouse and walked beside Claypaw, her pelt brushing his to keep him warm.

Nightwhisper grunted a thanks and set down the crow. "What are you doing today Featherstar?" He asked politlely.

Rosekit padded out of the nursery, and let the wind rush through her fur. Come to think of it, it was a very windy day. She sighed, and wished she were an apprentice already so she didn't need to sit and be bored all day, only thinking about the weather. She wanted to catch prey and be able to go on long journeys. Sighing, she plopped down on the flat earth, pondering these thoughts.

Ashpaw licked his fur. He wondered if he could go on the next patrol, figuring it'd be fun. Prey scent filled his nose, and he stared hungrily out the entrance.
