Skygaze was quiet for a bit before blin8ng out of what seemed like a dormant state and spoke up "purpleflower likied sandstar? ...Really? Skygaze actually turned his head towards the den "well... thats news to me, but i was referring to purpleflower and vixenleap... it might just be the kitting, but wow... she sounded angry! " he said, a slightly startled laugh in his last few words "wouldnt want to fight her right now!"

fernpaw's eyes brightened immediately as the medicine cat revived the kitten. she helped sorrelcloud put it next to vixenleap, feeling proud for the queen. "wow, that was stressful... especially for vixenleap, she's out cold!" fernpaw said, chuckling softly. the queen was sleeping peacefully, wrapped around her three little kittens. "we should let sandstar in first, this is his den afterall. i think we should keep purpleflower and the others out, but let sunstorm in for sure, he's her brother."

the calico medicine cat smiled at fernpaw. pride filled her chest. her apprentice had done a very good job during this kitting, and she couldn't have been any more prouder. at the mention of vixenleap's brother, her ears grew hot. all she could do was look down sheepishly in attempt to hide her blush. "of course, g-go get them! i bet they can't wait!"

kestralpaw urned to skygaze. "i know, i didn't believe it either," he mewed, "but i'm sure vixenleap and purpleflower would be fine. i believe that kitting is quite stressful, and the queens could've snapped at each other for the smallest reasons?" the dappled apprentice's statement sound more of a question, but he shrugged it off. now he just wondered how vixenleap and the kits were, and deep inside he longed to see fernpaw peep out of the leader's den.

fernpaw smiled and nodded, not even noticing her mentor's blush over the excitement of the new kittens. she bounced out of the leader's den and quickly got sunstorm, letting him in before sandstar since he was vixenleap's only relative. she padded in with him. the golden tom sat down next to his sister, looking up at sorrelcloud. "the kits are beautiful... how is she doing, sorrelcloud?" the tom asked, purring softly, proudly for his sister.

Skygaze turned an ear back to krestalpaw "hm.. maybe" he muttered, staying quite before tensing randomly "here they come!" he spoke in a hushed hiss, waiting to see what or who it was he could feel running out. after they headed back in with another cat he spoke up... "who was it?"

As the snowy molly dropped the mouse on the pile, she sighed, watching all the stuff happening in camp. She was clueless that VixenLeap had been kitting, and that lots of panic had spread through the clan, that had just turned to joy. She sat down in the clearing, feeling alone. She just groomed her pelt, trying to keep herself entertained.

The tom watched as PurpleFlower got screamed at, and he frowned. He got to his paws, and attempted once more to try and become better friends with the beautiful molly "PurpleFlower? Why don't we go over to the freshkill pile, and grab a bite to eat? Im sure Vixenleap will be fine soon" He added quietly.

Purpleflower suddenly needs comfort and just presses herself against Ashwhisker, tears streaming down her face.

A small smile spread across his maw, and he slowly lead the queen towards the pile, and he grabbed a mouse for them both to share "Here, you can have the first bite" He meowed, and sat down, nudging the mouse over to her.

Purpleflower shakes her head. "I dont want to eat anything." she said sadly.

{recap?} Sandstar waited outside of his den, I can't believe she is having kits in my den...can't wait to tell them when they are older. How sweet, but wait, they aren't my kits...well doesn't matter. I love Vixenleap, I'll be there for her. The finer Tom got up and walked around and looked around seeing the Warriors all confused and some worried. When the kits are born, I'll announce what happened recently. He sighed, thinking to himself.
