I walk over to Snowstep and Blackpaw. I place my nose in Snowstep's fur and whisper..."Everything will be okay."I raise my head back up and look at Snowstep. "We have to get Blackpaw to the medicine cat or the medicine cat to Blackpaw."I say.

Lilysong shoved the dog, helping Moonpelt. The dog, with much effort, finally slid off. Lilysong yowled in anguish, Lakeshadow wasn't breathing. "No, no, noo! She pushed her nose into his fur. Her ears twitched, his heart. It was beating. Slowly, but beating. "Moonpelt! Sorry to be bossy, but, hurry, run and get Dawnpelt. Snowstep, good, uh, stay with Blackpaw," Lilysong said, taking charge. It was her nature. The howling got louder and louder. This dog was either unconsious or finally dead. To make sure, Lilysong bit the jugular vein in the dogs neck. She padded over to Lakeshadow, standing over him protectively, she braced her self for more dogs, prepared to fight to the death to keep Lakeshadow alive. "Snowstep, more dogs are coming, be ready," Lilysong meowed, gently. She didn't know what the tom was going through, but she knew she should be gentle.

Lakeshadow was barely aware of Lilysong's nose in his fur, his mind was somewhere else.

"Lakeshadow, my son. She cares about you, take care of her well," a smoky gray-black she-cat meowed affectionately. It was his mother, Lakeshadow nodded and it was black.

I ran towards camp yowling. When I reached it I burst in the camp and yowled for Dawnpelt.

"I'm not leaving Blackpaw Lilysong,you know I won't!" he hisses at her feeling upset with the dog that attacks his apprentice,his eyes narrowed at her with anger

I yowl for Dawnpelt again.

A dog crawl in pain,cover with wounds that the cats made and blood,unable to attack the cats Snowstep unleash his claws and make a cut on the dog's neck to make sure the dog is dead.Tears still coming from his eyes,he turn to his apprentice's body and carry him to the camp.

I see Snowstep come in and run towards him and start to help him carry Blackpaw.

"Lets take him to the medicine cats den...."I mumble. I help carry him towards the medicine cats den.

"Huh? Snowstep... I don't know what you're going through... I'm sorry," Lilysong meowed, her ears pinned. She watched as the tom carried his apprentice back to camp. Lilysong couldn't carry Lakeshadow back, they'd be dead before they reached camp. Suddenly, Lakeshadow stirred. Lilysong jumped, "Lakeshadow? You're.... alive!? Thank StarClan!"

"Lilysong... I- I love you," Lakeshadow mumbled, barely loud enough, then he blacked out, again.

Lilysong stared at the tom. She didn't know if she'd heard him right. She shook herself, gently grabbed Lakeshadow's scruff, and started gently pulling him back to camp. It was a long and ardious journey, but they made it. Lilysong dragged Lakeshadow to the medicine cat's den entrance, then collapsed beside Lakeshadow. She tried to stand, but her muscles sceamed in protest, so she succumbed and waited for Dawnwing. She had to take care of Blackpaw first. Lakeshadow would live, she hoped.
