burntpelt was asleep in the elder's den, his torn face was facing the other way. he finally woke up, turning around to look at the camp. he looked over to see a kit squirming around near his mother, wrinkling his nose. "ew, what's wrong with him?!" the kit squealed in pure disgust. burntpelt flattened his ears, hurt surging through him. he turned away, curling into a tight ball.

ferncreek padded outside of camp, flicking her tail. she looked around, taking in the noises of the forest as she went for a quick hunt. she decided to go for birds, her favorite prey.
