shadestar watched the camp. his eyes blazing as the sun hit its highest peak. he would need a deputy soon, but who? his eyes scanned the camp carefully. he wasn't sure, he never seemed to be anymore. his eyes drifted to the nursery where his kits tusseled. also, where his mate was.

he shrugged. "grizzlyheart?" she looks out for everyone, and she has enough strength to even take on you or me!" he didn't want to show himself off, but him and Shadestar were very large and fit toms.

Maplefur padded throughout camping, searching for a cat to socialize with. She spotted the queen's den and some kittens. She did want kits, but didn't have the mate for it, so socializing with other cats' kits would be the closet she could get. She walked over and kneeled down toward a kit, offering them a kind smile. "Hello, Kestrelkit!" She mewed.

shadestar thought for a moment "she had been an option for me, and she would but up a decent fight for her clan..." he told tigerflame. "I will think about it, I will announce the new deputy by moon high. " he went to his den to think. who knew?

kestrelkit was knowing on her brothers leg when she noticed maplefur. she was close to the warrior so she jumped up and clung to her leg "Hi maplefur!" She squeaked. her bright orange eyes filled with curiousity.
