She ignored his command and leapt down from the branch, landing not far away from the mossball. She gave it an eager sniff and nudged it with her muzzle, expecting it to do something. She looked up at Hawktalon with a questioning gaze, as if to ask what it did.

The tom smiled kindly, and watched her dissapear off away to the cliff. He carefully began to clean his fur from her scent, before getting to his paws and begging to walk along the shore towards the broken bridge.

Snowfire was about to pad out of the camp, yet then the leader called a meeting. Glancing at Littlestep, the senior warrior padded forward and sat, wrapping his thick tail around his paws. Realizing that that that Blackstar had padded off, the warrior turned to face his clan. Any idea what is going on? the senior warrior asked all of the cats milling behind him. He had been busy, so he had no idea of the missing kits yet.

Hawktalon raised an eyebrow, then shrugged. Inwardly, he was feeling hope. She wasn't flinching, wasn't straying. Smiling, the cream and golden warrior jumped down after her. Blackstar had been right. Rosewing had coddled her to much while they here the first time, and therefore had allowed her to freak out. When pushed, she had adapted well. This young kit would make a strong warrior, regardless of the unfortunate scenario she was placed in.

She is my responsibility. I will treat her like she is my own daughter. I won't let Blackstar get to her, or even my own evil. Crouching down low, the young warrior jumped, demonstrating what to do with the moss ball. Rolling it through his paws, he then pushed it back to Silentkit and gave her a nod. Now I'll see her pounce. See her hunting instincts.

It took him a while to get to the old broken bridge, since the place was pretty far away after all. After a long walk, he finally reached the place.

She was extremely happy to the point it was almost scary. She ate a mouse and sprawled out in a patch of sunlight. She purred. What had happened while she was gone? Probably something important.
