Fallowpaw paused, also picking up the scent of hare. She stepped lighter, ears swiveling forward to try and find the hare.

Rabbitfur flicked his tail at Leopardpelt.
"We can hunt here in the forest along the way to Sandy Stones. Shadowfur returned with a mouthful of prey from there, judging by the dust on his paws." He also hesitated slightly when he tasted hare nearby, but paused entirely as Leopardpelt disappeared into the brush, returning later with a mouse in her jaws. He flicked an ear before continuing down along the path towards Sandy Stones.

Snowfire heard his leader's call. Standing up, he licked his now finely sharpened claws, he padded beneath the highrock and sat delicately, wrapping his fluffy tail around his paws. Turquoise eyes locked on the highrock, the eldest warrior waited patiently for the morning's events to be announced.

BlackStar began his speech once most of the Clan arrived."As you know, I have been your leader for almost a Moon now. And now, after well-tought plans, I present you, my own laws. All senior warriors shall stay by my side for as long as I allow them to leave. We, shall now eat before any cat, and our elders will begin hunting prey for themselves now." He said sternly, no joke, no nothing.

ShadowFur closely listend to BlackStar. He nodded lightly in agreement, since after all, he was in on the whole plan.

RoseWing gasped."What?!" She meowed in shock.

Swiftly, she hid her catch under mud and leaves, so she will be able to store it later. "Yes, you´re right. There´s a lot prey here. However we should split up, so we´ll cover a larger area for each to hunt." suggested the lean she-cat. Her ears kept twitching on souds of prey crawling into forest all around.

Tom´s eyes windened in pure shock. "He can´t mean it seriously, now can he?!" he turned to his mentor. For all he knew, apprentices and warriors were supposed to hunt for elders or queens.

Snowfire's first impulse was the stand up and question such a law being implanted, knowing that Starclan would never allow such. It made no sense, why would he do such a thing? That would result in death for the elders. But, the more cunning side of him controlled his maw. Buy your time. Listen and learn. If you make your displeasure clear, he shall punish you and place you with the ordinary warriors. Or worse.

So his turquoise eyes remained they way they had; emotionless, calm, reflective. His bushy cream tail swished slightly, but otherwise he remained the way he had. Would the leader announce patrols now and take some cats to his den, or would they all be left to their own devices except the seniors?

Creamstep gasped, "what if they die trying to hunt?! This could be a major problem!" She mew loud enough for only rosewing to hear, "he can do that! Well.. can he?"

"Anyone who tries to do diffrently than the rules I have set for them, will regret it." BlackStar meowed sternly before pouncing down the rock, by ShadowFur.

ShadowFur sternly stared BlackStar before giving the tom a light nod, following him off to the leaders den to discuss any further plans. He flicked his tail for SnowFire and all the other senior warriors in Camp also to follow.

RoseWing worried sadly."I´m not sure. We have only one elder.." She commented quietly.

He held back a growl, glaring at his once respected leader who stood proudly on top of the High Rock. What could he possibly be thinking?! He turned to look at the rest of the Clan, noting the looks of shock on their faces. Then he looked to the sky. Why had StarClan not warned him of this? Was it possible that they did not know?

She shook her head stunned. A new law? What could that mean? Did this mean that the Warrior Code didn't matter anymore? Many questions swirled around her head, making her dizzy. Smokepaw's comment broke her out of the daze. She gave him a sad look, but placed her tail on his shoulder in a sign of comfort. "I do not know, young one." she said quietly.

She let out a yowl of protest, looking Blackstar dead in the eye. "You would let this Clan starve, simply to satisfy your own greed!" she hissed. She stormed towards the younger cat, anger flashing in her eyes. "How dare you...!"

Snowfire wished that the two would be silent. He didn't want them hurt, not in the slightest. Glancing at the two mollies, he swished his bushy tail subtly to tell them to quiet down. Glancing at Rosewing and Creamstep, his turquoise eyes flashed ever so slightly. Silence. He then stood up and padded after Shadowfur and Blackstar without a backwards glance, his turquoise eyes back to being reflective, his pink claws sheathed.


I know what I"m doing. Maybe, just maybe, if those two mollies listen everything might get a little bit better. Just a little bit.
