Once in camp, Snowfire glanced around. If Swiftpaw was busy, he'd go straight to Oakfrost. Swiftpaw, he yowled, swishing his thick tail as his hardened turquoise gaze swept the camp.

Snowfire felt sorry for Rosewing as he heard Silentkit's yowls of protest, and those questions. The questions that couldn't be explained to kits her age. Focusing his turquoise gaze on his apprentice, he forced himself to focus on the task ahead. I'm going to work with you on a few kinks in your hunting technique, and show you a simple tip. Then, you are to clean the nursery. Beckoning with his thick, plumy tail for his apprentice to follow, the senior warrior padded over to where he usually slept. There laid a small, smooth, round rock scored by many claw marks.

Watch closely. Placing his claw on the rock, Snowfire sheathed them to the maximum length and began to slowly scrape sideways, sharpening them. The curve of his claw slowly became more defined, as did the point. Sheath your claws to the maximum length, slowly scratch sideways, and be sure to use a smooth rock or small twig for claw sharpening, or else you could dull them and make them bleed. Did you understand that? the pearl tom mewed to his apprentice, his turquoise gazed focused and relaxed.

{Recap is on the discussion thread, but for an updated version; a few new cats joined. Blackstar announced that all apprentices will start training at 3 moons, which resulted in Rosewing clawing Snowfire. Currently, Blackstar is by the stream with Bluefeather, Snowfire is with his apprentice, Swiftpaw, Littlestep is sleep in the nursery with Rosewing and Silentkit nearby. A few other cats are chatting, Shadowfur is out with his apprentice, and that's all I know ^^}

"What?! You can´t be serious! " her fur bristled in rage. Elders? Hunting for themselves?! And kits becoming apprentice in 3 months?! Who does Blackstar think he is to do such a thing?! she gritted her teeth, her body shaking with anger. "And what was the reaction of the clan? Did someone disagree with it in open?" she whispered, making sure noone would her. She lied down next to tom, letting her fur to lie flat, so she wouldn´t look so much suspiciously, though anger still could be seen in her eyes. "You said he keeps senior warriors with him, right? But how and why? I´m sure they aren´t happy with this idea either." she asked gray tom quietly observing camp to make sure noone was listening. I wonder what´s the meaning of this. she thought.

"Thanks!" meowed the gray tom, before nodding happily. Crouching down he crept forward, putting one paw in front of another. He also slowed down his breath and kept his tail down, so the mouse won´t spot him. These bushes weren´t as thick as the other ones, so the mouse could see him easily through leaves, if he won´t be careful. When he was only a few inches away, wind suddenly changed and blowed his scent right bushes direction. Grrrr!!! he growled under his breath irritable. There was no point in being quiet now. The pray already scented him. Though he didn´t like the idea of giving up that easy. He made a run for it, sprinting right after fleeing creature. That´s mad! he thought as thorns of bushes he was running through kept scratching him. However with every step he was closer to catching mouse. I can do it! With a powerful bounce he jumped forward, missing the mouse tail only by less than inch as the small creature disappeared underground. Smokepaw hissed in frustration, his fur bristled and anger reflecting into his eyes. Sighing deeply he turned and went back to Finchwing with his head and tail down.
