He wished to become a medicine cat apprentice, wishing nothing but to help others peacefully. One time while collecting herbs, a branch fell onto him and nearly crushed his body. He got away with a permanent limp and scars for the rest of his life.

Softgaze was trying to start a conversation with little Fallenpaw, who was trying to rest and avoid her. Despite these actions, the warrior wouldn't leave the medicine cat apprentice be. He sighed and glanced up at her.
"What was that about a bird?"
Softgaze smiled widely.
"While I was hunting, a little bird flew by me! I caught straight out of the air!"
Fallenpaw smiled a little. She sounded like an apprentice who just caught it's first prey. He remembered one of the other apprentices blabbering about it for sometime.
