I flick my tail a bit at the apprentice "Checking our border like everyone does......" I then look to my daughter still in concern.

I look at my mother before looking at the apprentice. "Surely your not alone where is your mentor?" I ask the apprentice I never told anyone about the wolf and Cobrastrike. My mothers warning made me wonder more about Cobrastrikes plans.

tawnystripe's ears flicked slightly, listening to the cats speaking a bit away from them. she turned her head as swiftpaw left the place they were hiding. "swiftpaw." she hissed quietly. the molly bounded out behind him, dipping her head respectfully to the two cats. "greetings breezestar, leopardheart."

I dip my head back to the she-cat. "Hello Tawnystripe" I reply to her before looking at Leopardheart. "I just wanted you to know that we will talk more later. Come to my den when you can." I meow to her before flicking my tail in a goodbye to the other two cats trying to be as friendly and nice as possible.

"That was- that was, the leader of WINDCLAN?" gasped Swiftpaw. He couldn't believe that even though he hadn't been to a Gathering, he had still seen the leader of WindClan! He watched the pair leave, and turned to Tawnystripe with glowing eyes. "That was so cool!" he exclaimed.

tawnystripe's ears flicked slightly once more as she watched the pair walk back to their camp. "yep." the molly mewed, returning her focus to the apprentice. "did you hear anything? all I heard was them say that they can't trust someone. did you hear who that is?" she mewed in a quiet voice in case the two windclan cats were still listening.

Swiftpaw turned his attention back to his mentor. "No, I didn't hear. Although I did hear "him," so they must have been talking about a tom. And they must have known this tom well, so he must either be a WindClan tom, or some rogue they know well."

tawnystripe's tail swished back and forth behind her. "we should probably head back to camp and tell cherrystar." the molly mewed. "we can continue your tour of the territory later."

"Okay," said the apprentice. He was only slightly disappointed the tour wouldn't be finished that day. But he had two whole seasons to learn everything, so he wasn't worried all that much. Swiftpaw stood and walked back over to his mentor, looking back at WindClan territory longingly once. At least he now knew whose territory was whose.

tawnystripe turned and began padding back towards camp, her tail still flicking back and forth with worry. "hey," she mewed, trying to lighten the mood, "at least you'll have something to brag to your denmates about, that you've seen the windclan leader already."

Swiftpaw's ears perked up at Tawnystripe's suggestion. "Oh yeah," he said slowly, a grin spreading on his muzzle as he padded after his mentor. He wondered what they'd all say about it. His tail was raised high in the air, and the apprentice walked in a clearly proud manner. Or a swagger. Either way.
