Otterleap smiled happily, "Well let's go then!" he said, bounding over to the entrance.

"Okay!" Jinxpaw meowed enthusiastically, hurriedly shoving the beetles into Icepaw's bedding before picking some fur out of her nest and rubbing it over the spots where he'd left his scent.

Brackenfrost followed Otterleap, starting to smile.

Sandswirl padded towards the camp entrance, So what do you want to do? She asked Jinxpaw, she couldn't believe she was doing this, abandoning the clan to be with a tom, just like her mother.

"So how are you at hunting? I bet I can catch more than you," Otterleap said, chuckling.

Pebblestream frowned. "I'd rather bleed all over than be a useless lump."

Brackenfrost sighed. "Well, at least you've got Pantherheart. I've got no cat. Fernpool's always too busy to talk to me, and every cat except you doesn't talk to me 'cause they think I'm crazy," he muttered.

Crystalpaw looked uncomfortable. "I'm going to have to take you back to camp, you know."

Cloudwhisper nodded, understanding her trouble. "Would you rather be dead, though? You might never see them again." the grey she-cat meowed.

"Well.." Pebblestream sighed. "I guess I'd rather be alive."

Jinxpaw tilted his head. "How about we go looking for herbs? I know for a fact that you're out of catmint. Doeleap was complaining really loudly about it yesterday." he suggested.

Brackenfrost laughed. "You're on!" he meowed, and started scenting the air for prey.

Sandswirl nodded,Okay, sure, and don't you think I know that? I do sleep in the medicine cat den she said, laughing silently.

Otterleap grinned, this was the Brackenfrost he knew, "Oh I know I'll win though," he said, bounding off towards the scent of a rabbit.

Brackenfrost grinned, scenting robin, and padded quietly towards it.

Jinxpaw blushed. "Right. Okay."

Otterleap saw the rabbit just a foxtail away, he crept up on it, silently, edging ever closer to the prey, then he leapt, his paws landing on the back of the rabbit. He bit down on the rabbit's neck and killed it.

Sandswirl smiled No worries, so, do you know where catmint grows anyway? she asked, wondering how much the tom knew about herbs.

Brackenfrost jumped on his robin, killing it swiftly.

Jinxpaw nodded. "When I was a loner with my mother, we lived near a Twoleg who grew catmint," he meowed. "We'll have to jump over a wall to get to it, though."
