the brown tabby dismissed her sister as she watched her go off to hunt. it seemed very strange when seabreeze left at such similar times to the day prior; but she never questioned it. she made her way toward the leader's den, peeking inside before speaking. "permission to enter?"

Swiftstar looked up, getting to his feet as he watched Mouseleap with his perceptive green gaze. "Permission granted." Swiftstar mewed softly, not meeting her eyes.

she gulped before entering, apprehensively blinking before standing before him. "last night we sent out a patrol and none returned. two apprentices and a warrior. i just thought you should know . . . maybe we should stop sending out patrols by riverclan territory."

[derision]

Swiftstar let out a weary sigh, nodding. "I need you to send out more border patrols, but still keep an eye on RiverClan." His gaze swept across her light brown fur, unable to meet her gaze still.

"of course, swiftstar," she mewed in response. she raised a white forepaw and gave it a lick before flicking her tail, dipping her head toward the leader and exiting the den. the bright sunlight splashed her face as she returned to the shady spot where she and seabreeze had eaten their breakfast.

Hawkfoot- Hawkfoot watched as mouseleap emerged from the leaders den wonder what they talked about he thought to himself... maybe the vanishing cats that's a thought shaking his pelt he started grooming himself.

Briarpaw- Briar watched the clan from afar she never wanted to leave it was more safe here than outside she backed up close to a corner shaking.

When Specklepaw turned over, Gingerstorm left the apprentice den in a huff. "Why couldn't they give me a useful apprentice," she growled. She looked around for someone to talk to. The disappearances were making Gingerstorm paranoid. She didn't know who to trust but herself. But maybe by listening, she could learn more. So far, no one was saying anything useful. Spotting Mouseleap, Gingerstorm went up to her. "How did your meeting with Swiftstar go?" she asked in a hushed tone.

The small brown tabby shook her head. "It went alright. I feel horrible for him, however. We're losing more and more cats each day, and addressing him of these casualties just causes him to be more depressed." She hesitated before continuing, "We lost two apprentices and a warrior last night by the RiverClan border. Swiftstar asked me to create more patrols on the other Clan borders, but to stay away from RiverClan for a bit."

Hearing what Mouseleap said about the patrols, Gingerstorm winced. "Are you sure that Riverclan is the cause? Can you remember the names on the patrol? The names might lead us somewhere." Gingerstorm thought a little and said, "Do you know the names of any hunting patrols or mentors training their apprentices that day?"

Greyheart listened closely, recalling one of the names, Swiftpaw. Turning around, and answered, "One of the names was Swiftpaw" She turned back around, and started eating again. Don't worry Greyheart, your safe.
