Orchidear sighed at the cat,"Sootpaw, I can understand your reasoning, but that vole was on their territory. Even if you wanted to catch it on the rare occasion and feed it as a treat to one of our elders or queens, it was not on our side of the border and you must except that. You are almost ready to become a warrior and you must act like it. Meaning you follow the Warrior Code and are able to judge a situation and react appropriately. You can get get angry but never start a fight over a single piece of prey." She lectured him. She was not one to often lecture a cat. Orchidear hated getting lectured when she was a young cat as well. "Now we'll let Brightstar be the judge of your punishment, but until then you can go ahead and do what you want as long as it is in the camp." Orchidear padded away.

Rattail
"Brightstar I need to speak with you!" Rattail mewed as he approached the Sunclan leader. "It is about the apprentice Sootpaw." His tail was lashing back and forth rapidly. Rattail's hackles were slightly raised as well.

Mousenose
Mousenose had left the explaining to Rattail and went to collect the rabbit and two mice that Rattail and him had caught. "Hmm, depending on how big the rabbit is I might have to take two trips. Or, I could carry the mice in my jaws and somehow balance the rabbit on my shoulders. Nahh, I'm too lithe tho carry something on my shoulders. Even a rabbit." Mousenose thought out loud as he collected the prey. He decided to just carry them all in his mouth since the rabbit wasn't as big as he thought.

"I see..." he meowed shaking his head, as he sank his claws into the ground I knew he'd be a paw-full, I just hope he hasn't messed up enough that I need to postpone his warrior ceremony he thought with a pang of uncertainty "Thankyou for letting me know Rattail." he meowed his voice hardening. "Well have to deal with this quick... The gathering is soon, can you show me where Sootpaw is? I'd like to speak with him." he meowed as he gritted his teeth.

"Sure thing," Rattail nodded. He padded to where Sootpaw and Orchidear were still sitting and meowed,"Here's Sootpaw and Orchidear." Rattail stopped some tail-lenghths away. If he got any closer he was sure he would say something he didn't mean to say. He already insulted the cat, no need to do more.

Mousenose
Mousenose set the prey on the fresh-kill pile and quickly went back out again before anyone would notice him. It was twilight and he wanted to be a little early for the time he met with Starfall. Oh I hope she still isn't mad about the whole prey thing. It is so hard to anticipate her thoughts. Usually I can figure a cat out in no time. He was lost in thought as he headed to the meeting place.

"Well speak of the leader. He comes Brightstar now," Orchidear mewed with a wiry tone.

Losteye opened her eye to the commotion going on in camp. "Eh, go light on the scamp, Brightstar. If he did it with the intention of feedin' me, it's s'alright." She closed her eye and grumbled. "I mean, yeah, punish the kit a bit, but don't scream his head offa his neck."

Brightstar sighed and dipped his head to Losteye "I'll give him a decent punishment, but I hope it's not to harsh..." he meowed. He held a gaze with Sootpaw for a momment "I hear your stirring up the borders..." he meowed sternly "And According to Rattail you 'don't care' if you've been assigned extra duties... And though I wish I wouldn't have to do this, but you must learn to respect the code... For the next moon, you alone will be responsible for the elders bedding, ticks and bringing the fresh water and prey. You will also be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the nursery." he sighed and reluctantly carried on "I hope you learn from your mistake... And I belive it would also be best if you stayed from the gathering... ShadeClan won't be too happy with you at the momment." he meowed dipping his head But I promise I won't keep you from becoming a warrior he vowed silently "Orchidear, Rattail? could you get the cats ready to leave for the gathering? I need to Speak to Sootpaw... Alone." he meowed glancing at his deputy and her littermate.
