Rattail entered the camp first and he had a sour expression on his face. "Orchidear where are you?! We need to talk!" He hissed. Orchidear looked up from the squirrel she was munching on and saw the three cats return. "What happened? And why does it look like Rattail stepped in fox-dung?" Ochidear mewed after swallowing. Mousenose cut in front of Rattail before he could speak and meowed calmly,"There was an argument at the southern border. Sootpaw here killed some fresh-kill on Shadeclan's territory. When the deputy confronted him he got offfensive and then hostility grew between the two. Rattail and I intervened before any blood was shed." Orchidear's eyes glared at the apprentice. "I see. Go report to Brightstar about this. It will most likely be brought up in the next Gathering. Sootpaw I wish to talk to you and hear your reasoning on why you think you were in the right." Rattail scoffed and trudged towards the leader's den and called for Brightstar. Mousenose went back out to pick up the prey him and Rattail left behind. Orchidear sat infront of Sootpaw awaiting an answer.

Sootpaw dipped his head to the deputy once the other cats had left. "I know what I did was wrong... I mean by hunting on their territory, but I just really wanted to bring a vole back...its somthing I havtn caught before, and one of my little hobbies I've come up with is to catch every type of prey.." he meowed "But then Starfall just took it out from under my claws, and I didn't like the feeling.. Beacuse she just took it, and I didnt like the thought of a ShadeClan elder eating my catch, when it could have been for one of our elders or queens.." he meowed shakily.
